The old ones did become bound  gain the BTCOA text.

It says BTCoA, but you should be able to throw it in your shared bank. Notice it doesn't say, "Bound to Character"?

The Quiver of Poison had it's bind status retroactively changed, perhaps that would have been a better example.

I have an old Full Plate of Giants from the same raid that says BTCoA but is still unbound.

Your cloak is probably unbound as well.

It's on a F2P mule account.

Mail it. Should become bound to whatever character you send it to.

Tried that right after Feather shat all over the loot.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Also, no Ghostly or Aug slot restrict its utility to being a reminder of Feather-of-slop's ass hattery.

I haven't tried that.  If I get around to doing it "for science", I'll let you know.

Whether or not it trades via the guild chest as is now necessary in order to move store-buyable items such as Hearts of Wood or RTBs does not change the fact that the Cloak of Invisibility, which was once unbound and freely trade-able is now not and that this and others have been changed "retroactively" and the change did not require the players to go through any stone of change shenanigans.

It doesn't matter if it's still unbound after Plume de Soleil loot destruction, the Guild chest is not required to move it around...
Just plain mail or dual boxing and trading will work...

Side note : I still have 10ish teleport rods earned during the first Egg Hunt back in Europe... that says Binds on Acquire...
except that they can be mailed, banked, traded without problem.

I also have two Epic Armors ( IIRC Infested Armor and Plate of the Ringleader ) that I can move around despite their BTC status.
( put in shared bank, extract from shared bank, put on a toon, put back on shared bank... )

Yes my avatar is an Hermine eating a Greenland Lemming for brunch.

I was wrong.

The item is directly trade-able from one account to another and within the same account via shared bank.  I did not try equipping it to see if doing so changes it's empirical status of unbound.

I do remember it not being directly trade-able, but it's possible that my memory is crap.

In any event, I regret that I did not TEST this shit before disputing Flav.

Agreed - Coaly is completed unsuited for working in that environment, but he could definitely work for me!
It's hard to find good people who can admit to making a mistake, let alone learning from it so they don't repeat it.

+1 to Old Coaly for being man enough to admit making a mistake.

You know what this means though??

Why fight the next war when you can keep refighting the last one. Turbine shall rise above you exploiters and exploiter sympathizers at all costs.

Quote Posted by Vargouille on the MB

"Especially with being Exclusive, it means players can be done with the event when they have all they want. This is a thing that we don't consider bad. Players should not feel compelled to play events and only events while they are turned on, or farm for "next time". It's entirely OK to be finished with them."

Quote Posted by Cordovan on the MB
"We are unable to offer a trade-in for your old Motes due to them being duplicated in very large quantities by a relatively small number of players, combined with their ability to be freely traded. It is always disappointing and unfortunate when cheaters ruin the experience of others, but this is one of those times, we are sorry to say."

Turbines solution to farming for the "next time." Friendly Fire, shitty replacement event items and an apology! March onward Army of Turbine! No Time for Live streaming or Twinkies Jerry! Light those fields! To the Sea Fatboy! To the Sea!

Next Update: Ladders will all be replaced with crumbling ladders.

I'm just glad those clowns write video game software instead of doing something important like practising medicine. With that set of problem solving skills, they'd probably just shoot cancer patients, because there are so many bad cells reproducing.
