It is hard to like a company that does this us:
http://i.imgur.com/m5taRQy.jpgI like this game, but gosh, it never seems to value those feelings. No, I am not a Duper. Yes, I earned all my rewards and ingredients.
Good luck all ya that thought the Mabar stuff was gonna get those nice cloaks and tomes.
It seems Marbar is coming back as some sort of Challenge event. Joy, 'cause that is one of the most popular things that people like!
Please Turbine, I want to like playing. Don't screw me again.
Yes, completely unsubtle middle finger to their entire player base.
Even though non-duping players are calling for them to still be used, the tin-ear of Turdbine will just ignore them.
Turdbine are happy screw over their non-cheating players along with the cheats. What muppets.
The fact that they needed to rename the components is telling:
1. What idiot designed the new components with the same picture leading to the AH fun?
2. Why rename them to "Crumbling" when they are now useless. Why not just delete them from the game and be done with it? No, not when you can rub the player's noses in it.
3. Ofc, the sensible approach would have been to either:
(a) keep them and re-open the old trader so people could use them. +5 tomes aside, it is hardly cutting edge loot to unbalance the game. Change the bloody images on the new mats to avoid confusion.
(b) automatically convert them into the new ingredients at a ratio that devalues them (slightly). Don't create a kludgy interface that will be bugged and exploited. However, I suspect they're "deprecated" inventory system means they cannot do this though.
You can bet the dev responsible is laughing all the way to PacMan LARP at his self-perceived wittiness, with Tolero giving him high fives all the way.
