You dodge the hit and hits you for...wait what?

Experimenting a little with my new assassin and using shadow dancer I thought to use Meld into darkness that should work like this

I activate the skill against a MELEE monster (not champion) and still got hit by its attacks. Isn't 100% dodge like a guaranteed dodge? (hence the 100%). Bug or am I missing something?
Hope the bloody clicky jusy doesn't double my actual dodge. If so it's a waste of points.

I haven't used it in a while, but I believe your dodge still has a cap.

If your max dodge is 25% and you active this ability, you will get a 25% dodge.

No. Its 100% regardless of your max dodge.

Must have been one hell of a strong monster to bypass 128% of dodge and even if it was only 100% what's the point of the skill if a single trash monster can ignore it?

Wouldn't put it past Turdbine to code it as a +100% to your current dodge.  So if you have 5% it becomes 10%.

Isn't that exactly the same thing with reflex, hide, move silently displacement invisibility even the AC, MRR and PRR, at the end of the day its just numbers where the points don't matter.

No, it's not that.

Meld sometimes bugs out.  you hit the ability, it does the flip, and says "like a shadow."   If it doesn't do that, say you don't have enough room to make the backflip, it doesn't work.

Seen the back flip but no message displayed and I've tried a couple more times (the third time I actually had no room to back flip). I will try a few more times just to be sure but this is BS. Thanks for the info by the way  Smiley

Is that list being maintained?  It still lists a bug on Master's Blitz by MaddMatt70 from 2012.  Before they changed Blitz.

dodge cap is completely unrelated. you get 100% dodge bonus by all means.
as a side note, if you are hit by emeny while backflip, meld into darkness is considered to be activation failure
and the effect disappears immediately.

thus slightly difficult to activate MiD in mixed fight.

Probly not. That one is still correct, though I get what people are saying in terms of the wording. I guess in terms of its wording it's not a bug at all, as if you had -75% dodge somehow, presumably, yes you would still get 25% dodge. But it's dumb as shit that it doesn't raise the dodge cap to 100% as well.

I agree with you that if you are offering a dodge 100% feature, then the dodge cap needs to go up with it.  Since nobody has a dodge cap of 100% any other way.  Otherwise, they description should be - "increases dodge%  to whatever your dodge cap is currently for 9/12/15 seconds".

I gotta say that when I use uncanny dodge (pretty much every time in a fight with multiple opponents or a strong one) the actual dodge goes up

When I use(d) Meld into Darkness I didn't notice any benefit whatsoever so I assume there can only be two possible explanations:

- the dodge is restricted by your current cap and, therefore, it's useless for a toon that relies on dodge since it's probably capped anyway. I know it's says 100% but it must be a bug.

- the skill actually doubles your dodge value and it's useless anyway (at least for the cooldown it has).

I already re skilled the ED and invested the points elsewhere. I don't care if this skill is WAI or not.
The benefit is absent or so small that it actually doesn't make a difference

Helpful. It's also listed as being wrong here: Meld Into Darkness, active: +100% for 6 seconds, does currently not exceed the dodge cap (bugged). (Shadowdancer). Is this wrong too?
