I'm a bit behind the times after coming back and searches have had conflicting info on this...can you get armor blanks for ToEE from P1 rare chests or just P2?

Nope, the wiki's pretty fucking clear: The weapons and armors drop in the both versions of Heroic/Epic The Temple of Elemental Evil, introduced in Update 25. First fucking paragraph.

I have not seen them in part 1.
Not a ToEE fan though and so have not farmed it much, maybe just 2-3 completions of part 1.

I ain't going and finding it, but there was a dev quote (for all that's worth), saying armors only drop in the nodes.

Anyway, I've been 3-boxing P1 mushroom farm to try and gear out a gimpy rogue I took out of mothballs. So far probably 20-25 weapon blanks, an orb, a shield with +2 mythic for both PRR/MRR and Melee Power, and 2 of the BTA bows. Not a sniff at the armor yet. I'll keep up with it until I get the 400 shrooms I need for the weapon and armor (got over half-way there in a few hours) and then try and flag my menagerie for P2 which should be interesting since the rogue is gimpy and the other two are worse.

farm the nodes. That is the only way.

Well that probably kills my cheesy part 1 EE farming method where I'd bring in the gimpy toons, single-pull the orange named boss, irresistible dance him on one toon and then kill him on the other. Don't think I can solo EE on my main toon until he's back to 28 again and has all the toys so it looks like I'll be hitting up the nodes on EH on my main. Too much of a pain to run the gimps all down and deal with the scaling even on EN.

Going to try and find some tricks though to at least mushroom farm the entrance to P2 on EE. Getting 18 or so shrooms per chest on EE P1 (thanks to 3-boxing) was so much better than the time it takes to run EE runs in a group.

Yes. Some try to sell high but I don't think they can find buyers easily. Depending on the server if you keep checking you may catch a few with much lower prices.

Yeah, I've yet to even see a light armor blank on the AH or ASAH either one. Pretty low on AS's as well so definitely not grabbing any at those prices.

I do have a Medium and Robe blank if anyone's got a Light on Sarlona they'd trade for one of them. Debating just going ahead and making a robe though - it's for an assassin that sits at or near the dodge cap so the robe wouldn't be terrible. That said, the Light Armor's dodge cap is 20 so it's not like you're losing a ton of dodge there for the extra PRR/MRR so I might just save the shrooms and hold off.

No problem! Yeah, I've got one of the mediums as well - thinking of hanging on to it in case I play a barbarian and decide to use it. Not sure what element it was though off-hand so might not keep it as I'd prefer lightning.

The armors only come out of their respective nodes and will drop in any named chest spawn and the end part.
