Changes are coming to Tomes in the upcoming patch, which will also result in some price changes to reflect the improved functionality... As of 28.1, all Stat tomes and Skill tomes will now be able to be used below level, and the stat increase will apply the appropriate amount as you level (this is similar behavior to what players already experience after performing a true reincarnation with a character that has consumed a stat tome). This change is not retroactive and will only affect newly dropped/purchased tomes. So a character who loots a tome or gets a tome from the Store after patch 1 will be able to activate the tome immediately, and the game will apply the bonus as you reach each of the required levels (e.g. for a +1 bonus to ability scores you need to reach level 3, for a +2 bonus, you need to reach level 7, for a +3 bonus you need to reach level 11, and so on). Tome pricing has been increased to account for the improvement, and will be as follows starting with Update 28.1 (to summarize the below lists: a 50 point price difference). 	If they ever fix all the bugs in this game (cough, laugh) I am sure that I will be unable to afford to play it at this rate. I mean, such a minor change causing an increase in already expensive tomes, come on... wtf! OK turdbin just fix the lag, then we can talk about price increases.

Actually the TP prices of items should stay exactly the same, but they should have lowered the purchase prices of TPs about two years ago. Keep TP right where they were so the p4f players aren't affected, but give people willing to fund the game more they can do with the money they spend. At this point it really doesn't matter, but if they'd dropped prices two years ago (or even a year ago), people would have been more inclined to buy TPs if you could do more with them in the game. I swear sometimes I can't decide if they're actually that incompetent or if they just want the game to fail.

	Oh, this has the potential to get ugly. Are they going to add a way to see what tome you have if you are below level? How about art work, will the new and old tomes look identical on the Auction House? I love the thought that the tomes will finally work like they do in a TR, but WTF, make it retroactive to prevent screwing people over. They've already proven they can do it, the only thing lacking is sufficient regard for their customers' pain to bother doing so.

	Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

We are soon going to see little farshifter npcs who charge shards every time there should have been a ladder. VoN5 now with "improved functionality..."

	Now that there's lot of noobs who say 'omfg devs so awesome fix i luv u and i cummed my pants!' those dumb devs will add bugs to game, so they can later add features allowing people to mitigate those bugs to ddo store. Example: they can reduce buyback to items from your last login, and claim it reduces lag, and then make bug that will randomly delete item from your inventory, but don't worry, for 200TP per, there will be acces to expanded buyback list with items that were sold or destroyed in last month. Shit, those devs are probly lurking here, so I maybe shouldn't post here, but meh, whatever.

	My guess the reason for the change is mainly due to how wide spread tome trading was available ~ at least 2 - 3 months. Specifically unbound tomes could be traded, and used without actually consuming the tome itself. As a result, all my characters have +6 tomes, for the price of 0 turbine points.
