oh, and if you really think they consider to reduce the raids to 10 people.... think a bit...

It means having to modify a bit of code that has been here since the begining.... Yup, one of the Spaghetti Code bit...
As stated somewhere else, they probably have no clue what it's also going to impact... so expect lots of broken stuff if something like that happens.
( and lots of broken raids... some of the stuff was meant to be done with a full party, even if we shortman it everyday)

And if they modify it by scrapping the old code to write some new wone ( that is not Spaghetti )... Well even more fun to be had with broken stuff.

It's just Sev Talk... While group induced lag was an issue for Maban Dwagon Instances ( 24 People doing stuff ( hitting mob, casting spell, pulling levers ) + summons doing some more stuff + pets doing even more stuff + gargoyles annoying players + 1 teleporting Dwagon tokeep track of ), it's definitely not the case in raids... The lag issue with Defiler is a problem caused by all the teleporting mob and the raid mechanism. ( light pillars, timers between phases, blades, ... )

I doubt they have to affect the raids themselves.  The raids function fine with 1 person soloing them and every number between 1 and 12.  It would most likely only affect the party invite/request to join function.  There is probably code somewhere that checks the party count when the leader accepts someone or sends an invite.  If the party count is at the max, then all other pending join requests are cancelled and the leader can no longer send out invites and the LFM. disappears.  All they have to do is find that code snipet and change the 12 to a 10.

The raids could still handle 12 party members, but there would just not be any way to get 12 people in a party anymore.

Good idea. Max party size should be 1, raid parties max 6.
Voila, full groups again - the game population is healthy.

Good grief Meat, you're hopeless. You would label the simple act of taking a shit as someone obeying the divine law of nature to leave a proof of existence.

I had to lol at the +20% bonus to crafting XP bonus.
Which of the 5 people left playing give a rat's ass about crafting XP.

These muppets just keep recycling the same BS bonuses every week, without a thought to see if any of them are even relevant any more.

Yeah, I know the inevitable anecdote, "But Dave on Wayfinder is levelling his crafting and loves the XP bonus weekend as he's trying to reach level 9 in all schools by Monday to craft his +1 club of meat stroking!".
Good for Dave, but no-one else gives a frack.

This gave me a good lol.

Players can set the max party size when making a group now, so maybe the tech is there.  I personally don't give a shit, but it would be nice to fill and get going faster in some cases where old-school players want to wait for a full group.
