Thoughts on named weapons and threat range:

~ We definitely do not, going forward, want Improved Critical to affect any bonuses to threat range for named weapons.

~ We are also sensitive to players who don't want to see existing weapon lose relative power.

We will be increasing the threat range of the following named weapons. I am including the new threat range which is increased to compensate for the loss of improved critical. Keep in mind that this will be on top of the threat range Improved Critical adds for weapon type, so with that feat Epic Sword of Shadows, as an example, would have a threat range of 6 and become 15-20.

I apologize for the short hand in listing the threat range - that number represents the base range of the weapon and should be increased enough to match the previous range with Improved Critical. As a side effect this will make some weapons more powerful if your character does not have Improved Critical.

Lootgen weapons have no expanded threat range, therefor are affected exactly the same as they were before by IC,

With current update from Sev, weapons will remain exactly as they are, without the doubled up bonuses from IC affecting spells/eds/enhancments. (Slight "Nerf" if you fully expected IC doubling said things as working as intended)

Turbine policy - glitches and poor coding resulting in interference of your game play or enjoyment will be ignored.  Glitches or poor coding on the developers side that at all benefit your game play or enjoyment will result in your character being banned and/or items from your inventory deleted.  Please report all bugs via our bug report...when it works.

Agreed. In fact it's a buff to crit range for anyone who hasn't the proper IC feat, e.g. a melee toon switching to a Pinion for a bit of pew pew.

Because that would require an admission that the initial concept was flawed, and Turbine never makes mistakes.

Its actually NOT that hard to code it properly.. Currently they have it coded so that IC applies after everything else, all they need to do is have feats, in this case IC (and keen) apply before all other things, and then not affect anything else. Simple really

does anyone even understand just how many things are getting nerf'd...at the same time?

IC will add 1, 2 or 3 depending on weapon type.
