Pretty clear sign that they are not going to be fixing anything in the patch.

They have gone to ground, totally ignoring the "feedback" they  said they wanted on the lamma threads.

Not on any forums, chat, twitch, etc.... code of silence.

Hell of a way to develop a game eh?

What appears in Lammania is more or less Frozen Code except a few tweaks here and there.

I also know that the only thing DDO devs have actually learned is to keep pushing the game as far as it goes without putting too much work on it. They simply don't believe in the game anymore (if they have ever had). I understood this reading the official boards.

They actually see this a great deal more then complaints, the ddo chat line is pretty full-on Dev praise, to a rather disgusting degree. It's like people on the ddochat don't realize that when they are silent about fuck ups Varg and Sev see that as approval. Additionally the forums are full of people singing the praises of the developers.

I actually believe it is the other way around.
From what I hear the devs are told that "they're professionally trained" and "subject matter experts" whilst their customers are a bunch of idiots who don't know what they want.

Hence they see our "feedback" as a collection of noise and inconsistency.
Easier to just ignore it and say "our data shows" and "majority of players want" and move on.

On the evolutionary scale, they think they're gods forced to mingle with amoeba.

Varg just did that to me earlier.  I was on ddochat and asked him to reconsider the nefr to manyshot.  He accuses me of providing no information (effectively claiming the change is not a nerf) and when I have him the example of what was done to Archer's Focus; he just clammed up.

And rather than "wasting time" making backups, managing source code, or any of the myriad other minutia successful companies invest in. They've got the single most valuable IP in all of gaming, and they can't keep 20k players.

They are like a real-estate company that didn't "waste time" figuring out what renters in the area want, so they have a pile of crap nobody wants to live in, and they collect panhandling change instead of top dollar rent. Maybe that building made money in Seattle, but you can't just build it in Dallas and expect to draw the hipsters.
  
Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.
