Hey, folks! In addition to Legendary Greensteel, there are some named items dropping in U29! Here's a look at what you'll find on Lamannia.

A few notes before we get started:
This is a pretty early look, quite a few items aren't in top shape yet. DEFINITELY check out the Known Issues list when trying the items on Lamannia!
For the first time, we're using the new Scaling Effects from the new Randomized Loot system on Named Items. As a result, some values may be odd, broken or imbalanced. We're still polishing the system and working out the kinks - Let us know where you think these lie in comparison to other items.


Raid Items:
These are the standard drops that will drop in Legendary Hound of Xoriat and Tempest's Spine. Like other named items from the last few updates, these can also drop as Mythic versions. These items are ML29.

Looks shitty. And incredibly uninspired.

Where are the interesting and unique effects? Aside from 150 temp hp (lol) it's all just boring shit consolidated and just a tiny bit better. These are level 30 items? Incremental consolidated bullshit.

When is the last time we had a mnemonic aid item released?
When the hell is the DD clicky? 1/day is not too overpowered on an exclusive item. Or even a non-exclusive item.
Why don't we have other interesting effects that can mimic activated feats, like Cannith Scooty Boots?
Or stuff like tendon slicing or stunning, like the dun robar and avithoul rings?

Instead we get a slightly higher increment of deadly.
A slightly higher increment of deathblock (fucking seriously?)
a slightly higher increment of PRR
a different tiny stacking bonus type? quality? insight? profane? atrifact? didn't one of the current devs make a big stink about having too many sources of stacking stuff (when they changed exceptional bonii for stats to not stack anymore) and yet here we are, stacking shit on other shit just like back in the day?

There have not been any new item effects added in forever. They seem to be in love with tiny stacking on hit effects (prr/mrr that stacks to 10 and decreases by 1 stack every X seconds) put that shit on some gear. Save me the AP.

Be creative! I'm not very, so I'm sure someone else can suggest some interesting, unique and useful but NOT overpowered effects to put on gear. But they don't. Instead we get 1% more PRR/MRR/dodge/fort/spell power than the last set of shitty uninspired equipment.

I have decided to not post on the mobo threads simply because if I start pointing out all the other things they could have done, (like some of the things Rest pointed out) it will not do a damn thing other than burn 5 hours of my life fighting with Fanbois and getting socks burned.

Instead I am going to attend both Dev lamma events and screenshot the shit out of the chat.

Heads up to anyone new going to the Dev events, do not try to talk to Varg, he blatantly ignores every comment except from a predetermined group, and will actually make passive aggressive little snipe comments at anyone who is desperately trying to get something addressed, total troll.

you would think so. but they cant make anything that isnt incremental increase.

they could easily take some class abilities and feats, few off the top of my head :

imp evasion item if you have evasion.

gthf feat on weapon.

precision feat on a weapon.

wraith form on an item.

a monk weapon staff/kama that makes you centered.

item that gives uncanny dodge boost.

an item that gives off globe of invulnerability-not clickie but perma.

if you go into these threads and politely suggest these sorts of items, they listen. Steel changed a bunch of shit for DoJ update, a lot of which I suggested.

This is like assholes who don't vote and complain about politicians. Just because you don't always get what you want doesn't mean you shouldn't participate. Steelstar is incredibly bad and unimaginative at making items, but he gets charged with it a lot.

It's a good thing they changed the bonus type on the ToD rings to streamline keeping track of how new modifiers stack.

I love that you're claiming credit for a bunch of changes. Yeah they listened to you because your ideas were marvelous. All you give a shit about is buffing stupid star chuckers.

Besides which, I can't post on the main boards. You got your posting privileges back by allegedly kissing a whole lot of ass and turning people and alleged exploits over to turbine. They let me back once because I kept asking (politely, if you can believe it), and donated like 5 bucks to some charity thing Tolero was doing. Then they rebanned me. It's not likely they'll unban me a second time.


And, as was already pointed out, the devs only listen to select ass kissers and ignore everyone else. Now that I think about it maybe the DID listen to a bunch of your ideas..... I wonder why...

Sorry Harhar, I think that you are wearing rose colored glasses and if you remember you rushed in to claim credit for ideas, please walk it back man, this isnt about you.

Fact is that polite suggestions just get buried in the fanboi pile you know it and I know it. Or they get entirely misplaced by a huge wall of text from idiots who don't even understand the game on a meta level.

I will contribute, so maybe next time read my whole post before trying pat yourself on the back alright ? I am simply saying to to effectively contribute I will have to make a effort to do it via the dev events tonight and tomorrow otherwise the input will be wasted.
