Would you buy it now with added 5 extra sov xp and major slayer count boost?

And if yes, why not? Roll Eyes

The most broken epic PL in the game is the ridiculous AC buff from martial PLs. But when you include all the inherent benefits from reincarnation, the thing is above the roof. The benefit from TR was supposed to be minimal, but now it is game breaking. start a new character and you will feel, you will get raped in heroics.

Personally I think lower heroics on new characters are harder than Legendary Elite content on a character with good gear and has all destinies farmed.

Wow.

Have you EVER gone to Law School Feyn? Have you EVER been asked by a United States Senator who is now the Vice President of the United States to write a paper just for him on a particular topic of Constitutional Law for his use as a Senator? Have you ever been asked to help a very notable Harvard PhD turned Constitutional scholar with his very-well received book on Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Revolutions? Have you ever been offered a job as a Deputy Attorney General BEFORE you even graduated Law School?

No? Then STFU you fucking amateur.

I would not buy these.  If they throw in an XP stone and don't raise the price, then I might.  Otherwise, no dice.

Nope, Donuts...

Half my stable of gimps still have 25 tokens and 15 Blessing... why should I bother spending TP on them ?

tokens and blessings date from Good Ol' Europe, when we didn't have Store and Traveler was 2 month long twice a year with 10 Blessing and 15 Tokens everytime, since it was the only way to get Store Specific stuff... for whatever reasons lots of us ended with Teleport Rods ( once we spent the Blessings on getting XP Pots ) that never BTC as their description said they should.  Roll Eyes

I'd go apeshit if they added like a single 500k XP rock. The 2 million rocks are great but I get a lot of times when I'd like to skip just a little chunk of a live and not... ya know, half.

Fuck if they sold that trunk with a single 500-1,000,000 rock I'd buy way too damn many.

If they were smart, they'd do something like this:

Otto's big box - 5000 TP - Comes with a 2 million XP stone
Otto's medium box - 2500 TP - Comes with a 1 million XP Stone
Otto's small box - 1250 TP - Comes with a 500k XP Stone

They'd be printing money.

Imagine if they removed the 1 per life limitation and sold them in different amounts and priced them a bit better than the current $50 for 2 million xp (with lots of bonuses). Then they really would be printing money.

Yeah yeah, I know plenty of people would abuse the shit out of stuff like that. I'd just like to be able to skip a level every now and then. Is that so wrong?

I'm not pointing that out to say it's wrong. I'm pointing it out to say why not? I mean seriously, if they're going to grab for money don't do it half-assed. Go all the way. Buying xp is not going to break the game. If someone wants to spend that much money to not pay the game I say Turbine shouldn't get in their way to stop them! Smiley

Sounds reasonable to me Tongue its not like this is a PvP game where you can actually pay to "win" Having more past lives than someone else does not mean you beat them.

And, like I said, it'd be cool to get to skip small pieces of the game instead of large swaths!

I'm also for this. Pay2Win isn't exactly new to DDO and I would pay Real World money to skip bullshit Cleric and FvS lives.

Win-Win.

Edit: I'd pay to skip bullshit Fighter and Wizard lives too.

Nope. I only buy stones when they are for the most part reusable. If the get eaten after 20 uses or more, its worth it. If not... im not buying shit. $50 for one use is crackhead prices. For $50 you should get like at least 5x 3mill stones. And that would still be a kinda a rip off.. but if they made one that had infinite use.. id pay $100 or so for sure.

Dear players,

The D&D rules you were familiar with were too simple to understand, so we're continuing our move away from them to needlessly confusing subsystems that will make your play experience less fun and invalidate old builds and loot. We hope you have fun working out what the fuck MRR, PRR, MP, SP, RP, CL, MCL and all the other bullshit we made up whilst drunk means.

Love,

They should just sell however many xp per TP people are willing to pay in all possible quantities.

In fact, they could put a big flashing button in the middle of the store UI that says "CAP NOW!! Only 16500 TP!"

5x 3 mill seems a bit exorbadant.

I think the point of the XP rocks, the original idea, was that no one would ever buy more than one or two, maybe use it to fast level up a single alt(which I did for 4 characters to get some variety) or occasionalloy use it to skip a life.

People buying them by the dozen and "paying" for completionist was probably a bit of a shock to turbine. But, ya know, its like finding a 20 on the sidewalk, shocking, yes, but fuck if you aint gonna pick that shit up.

I love the idea of selling different sized boxes in principle, but I think the whole idea of the box isn't to look like they're baiting in casuals. It really is the sort of thing you only want to drop cash on if you're an established player looking to skip some shitty lives(god I hated Ranger...)

I think I'd rather see the existing box at the existing price, but instead of a single 2-million XP rock, give me 4x 500k rocks and let them be "as many per life as you want". I'd actually buy more of them at that price since I wouldn't be skipping an entire life, just jump over the 10-12 gap and maybe again at the 18-20 gap, save the other 2, next life repeat, life after buy another.

Good points.  I agree with you about more, smaller stones.  Would also be good if you run with a few buddies that are TRing and you get busy at work or home and miss a few days.  Come back and they are 500k ahead of you.  You can use the stone to catch up.

I have noticed that the lives I used to loathe (Rogue, Ranger, Bard for example) are now some of the most fun.  And the ones I used to look forward to are much less appealing.  Such is the game.

Yeah definitely on the catch-up thing. Being able to easily slide around level ranges makes the game much more sociaable.

I had originally intended to never even shoot for completionist because so many lives looked unappealing, but as I've gotten deeper into multi-classing I've seen that there are amazingly fun builds for every life, every style, etc. Its just that there's still those occasional patches of "ugh, I just want to be DONE with this"

I stopped Heroic TRing all together because the run up to 10 was loads of fun but 10-12 was boring, 12-14 got fun again with GS, then 15-20 just.... fell off. In almost every life Ive been just about 500k from 20 when I just wanted to be done with heroics and pull my epic gear out of the bank. Small bursts of XP would be really great for breathing life into a game that's all about TRing.
