Haven't done anything DDO related for about 6 months and noticed the shortcut sitting all forelorn on my desktop.

Was kind of curious whether Sev kept his word about its return.

There was a hackneyed attempt at shoehorning old content and cannith challenges together to replace lagdragon. It was kinda shit.

It was a good event that didn't monopolize time and gave out some unique augments that were worth the time to get(about 2 hours per) but didn't cause power creep or upset the apple cart for loot.

Not every event needs to be "clear the schedule, grind it non-stop" intense.  I'd give it a B.

Yeah, the XP rewards made it worthwhile to run through once, at the very least.

I like the augments as well.  I spent maybe 6-8 hours max during events.  Made 3 wis 3 int augments and I was done with it.

You posed a very good question there.

The most broken epic PL in the game is the ridiculous AC buff from martial PLs. But when you include all the inherent benefits from reincarnation, the thing is above the roof. The benefit from TR was supposed to be minimal, but now it is game breaking. start a new character and you will feel, you will get raped in heroics.

Personally I think lower heroics on new characters are harder than Legendary Elite content on a character with good gear and has all destinies farmed.

Wow.

Have you EVER gone to Law School Feyn? Have you EVER been asked by a United States Senator who is now the Vice President of the United States to write a paper just for him on a particular topic of Constitutional Law for his use as a Senator? Have you ever been asked to help a very notable Harvard PhD turned Constitutional scholar with his very-well received book on Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Revolutions? Have you ever been offered a job as a Deputy Attorney General BEFORE you even graduated Law School?

No? Then STFU you fucking amateur.

Let's be honest. Turning Ma-Lag into Ma-Lax was the best thing this current crew has ever done.

When they have excellent content (like ToEE), they fuck it in the ass. When they have to make up their own content, they box it up, sprinkle it with doors that mysteriously know when the last mob in a room dies, and then fuck that box of mobs in the ass. When they have enhancement trees, they turn bards into assassins, barbarians into healers, and fuck power balance in the ass. When they have a game based on a D&D rules set, they introduce MP, RP, PRR, & MRR, and fuck D&D in the ass. When they have a chance to introduce a new race ... they pick smurfs, which is weird because the last thing you'd expect is blue balls.

Fucking things in the ass is all they do. It just so happened that Mabar was constipated. Now it's so regular you can't even hold in the ingredients.

LMAO! Yup, that sums it up nicely!

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

just to get things straight(er) : inb the case of the Barbs, the 2014 PC asked ( well whined ) that barbs needed to have something to make them more survivable.

Several ideas were spawned by the PC members.

My own pet idea : delay the damages a la Conan : while you rage the damages you takes are applied at 10% ( value to be discussed ), but they are tracked. Once the rage end all the damage taken during the time you raged gets applied in full. [ minus all the healing that occured during that time ]...
It wasn't self healing, but it was reducing the mana sponge effect. the Barb still had to rely on a friendly Healer to stay alive, but said Healer didn't need to babysit the barb, just keeping an eye on him/her from time to time and casting a few heals just before his rages end would have done the trick.
( with the rage durations it was almost certain to occur after the fight ended, except in raids )

All were discarded, and they just steamrolled the HOT enhancements we all know.

Which particular switch was not an important factor. Continually flipping every idiot switch they can find is an important factor. Dispensing with QA, which could reduce the number of idiot switches, is an important factor. Not hiring anyone who can deal with their database is an important factor. Their tin ear is an important factor. These show up in aggregate, not with any one particular instance of stupid.

I would have preferred something similar to what warlocks get in epithet bed spirit.  Something that gives double hp temporarily or con x 10 temp hp.

I like that better than self healing.  Seems more thematically correct but a similar effect.  also hand out some prr while raged.  The combination would improve survivability without straying from the concept of a barb.

Well I don't remember all the suggestions... but overall we wanted more survivability ( more PRR, more damage reduction, delayed damages, whatever ) and not self healing.

IIRC, they also somewhat pushed us to agree with what they wanted by adding the Healing Amplification Comeback into the mix... So far HA is only technically back... it still doesn't drop on random loot.
