State Your Case: Name Your Favourite DDO Quests

I've been kicking around this idea for a while, so I decided to post it here.

What are your favourite DDO quests, and why?

I'm not talking about the  best XP/min runs, we all grind the dailies and know the drill for ROFLstomping content.

What I'm looking for are the quests you like... Just because. Whether or not it's back story, lore, level design, or nothing in particular. Also, if anyone knows the time frames for the quests, as in the year/module/update it was released, that would be great as well. I am curious to see if the most popular/ enjoyable content fell within a certain dev team's tenure.

My thread, so I'll start:

Caverns of Korromar. Every life. I love it, extensive and winding, great atmosphere.
Stormcleave Outpost: See above. Also, has a strong Eberron feel to it.
Redwillow Ruins: Because it was fucking EPIC the first time I ran it on my 28 pt. Main
Study in Sable: Its the closest thing to role-playing in DDO. Fun story. Love the look.
Rest Stop: Old School dungeon crawl through an old castle. NEED MOAR

And finally:

TEMPEST FUCKING SPINE.  Cool

I can't believe I forgot:

Ruins of Thunderholme: Fuck the Thunderforged weapons. I could run it for the Explorer alone. The only problem is there isn't more of it.

Haunted Halls: The should have hired Ed Greenwood to design all their content. Also, he's a better narrator than Wil Wheaton.

Twilight Forge - solo able, but much faster to divide and conquer in a group. I dislike that Green can become unsolvable. Needs a reset mechanism.

Abbot - challenging without too many 1 hit kills. Creative ways around puzzles.

Stormcleave - large map, typical hack n slash.

The Pit - puzzles, jumps, terrible map that forces you to learn the quest.

Pit : Puzzles + requires knowledge + not a whack-a-monster quest
Abbot: Puzzles + requires knowledge + not a whack-a-monster quest
Deathwyrm: Classic dungeon crawler + well paced and immersive end fight
Von 5 + 6: Requires knowledge + multiple activities
Haunted Halls: Challenge factor + well structured
Study in Sable: Immersive + well structured
Heroic Shroud: Puzzles + not a whack-a-monster quest + well structured

Honourable mentions:
ToEE P1 Floor 1 + Floor 2: Well structured + immersive - too much whack-a-monster
Terminal Delirium: Random fun factor + dance-off ending - mirror room
Zawabi's Revenge: Epicness factor pre-MotU

Redwillow Ruins,  it's definitely Epic.
Irestone Inlet,  It should be a Raid.
Stormcleave Outpost, It should be a Raid too.
All the VONs, well you get to see a Saussage Dragon.
The Twillight Forge ( the Titan pre-raid ) by the sheer size, the coordination needed, and all the different things that people needs to do to complete while being split in 4 groups.
( ok, it can be done by a few people in steps )

Deleras chain.  5-11 and hard as hell for a new player!  Or even a player on an alt.

wiz king for the layout and design.
citw for the size.
running devils feels like trespassing.
flesh makers just kind of fun.
tear prolly my 2nd fave next to wiz king.
rusted blades nostalgic from ed farms, also the layout is huge if ran fully.
irestone inlet feels like a mini raid when the gates open.

The Legend of Two Toed Tobies {Heroic}
I've always loved this quest - The Epic version is decent but can't compare to the original.

Tomb of the Shadow Knight
For a Rogue simply the best quest in game. A lot of fun for a Cleric too.

Chains of Flame
I really don't get the hate for this quest - I know it's a long run to get to it but honestly it takes me just as long {same character} to run from Impossible Demands to Unquiet Graves.

Gwylan's Stand
Another great quest for a Rogue.

Purge the Fallen Shrine
The perfect hack & slash quest with a great atmosphere.

Special Mention of course goes to:

Tempest's Spine {Heroic}
Still the best Raid in the game!

Misery's Peak
Can't not mention this.

and

Ritual Sacrifice
The forgotten Vale Quest - The one no-one ever mentions in best or worst lists.
It's gone under the radar for far too long - This is a really good quest!

Main Characters by Server - Cannith Jelina, Sylveria, Enochpagett, Lieuk, Larystessian, Molineux. Sarlona Keltenn, Franq, Athiina, Nyszsa, Curleag, Nalpheyn. Khyber Tynecastle, Athenion, Argo Clievelund, Bjorkalina, G-Land Hassannavid, Tannadice.

I find Delera's so boring.

Yes it's difficult for a newbie but so are many quests and even on a Turn Specced Cleric I find almost every other Undead Quest more fun {Well except for Unhallowed, Blighted and Forbidden which are all horrid!}.

The problem with Delera's is it's all so samey - Skeletons, Skeletons and more Soddin' Skeletons!

You all already know I don't hold Voice in the esteem that many do. {It's nice yes but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it and I'd advise a newbie to use a Guest Pass to get it rather than pay 7-800 TP on Delera's that could be better spent elsewhere.}.
I think I've seen Carnifex drop twice in 5 years over 50-60 alts and multiple TRs!
And these days even on a 2nd or 3rd Life I sometimes end up skipping it because I'm already hard-capped so the XP isn't that special anymore either.

Tomb of the Shadow King is an absolute Nightmare for difficulty but I prefer running that to Delera's!

Mmm, so many choices.

Delera's Tomb - It's narrated by Gygax. The running back and forth sucks, the level spread sucks, flagging still broken with Kimare after all these years sucks, and his voice sounds terrible, but still, it's Gygax. I don't carte about celebrity narration in general, Gygax was a special case.

Frame Work - I love the writing (especially Doris at the end) and the fact that you can cautiously pull a few at a time, or go full blast firehose.

A Cry For Help - the narration. That quest always makes me feel like I'm sitting at a table with a real DM, it's great.

Irestone Inlet - Fun story, you can set the pace like Framework, and I never tire of watching that ship explode, that sweet moment of utter triumph rocks.

Rest for the Restless - I like the story behind it, helping the pensive mother in the tavern just feels so heroic despite being a low level character.

Devil Assault and Kobold assault - sometimes you have a crappy day and just want to beat the crap out of a couple hundred invading Devils/Kobolds. I don't need any more of this type of quest (maybe one at level cap), but I'm glad I have these 2.

There are others - I love the feel of Gianthold and Sands, the storyline in the Inspiration series is interesting even if the monsters are more annoying than fun, and Kings Forest is beautiful to wander through, for example, but these are the quests that stand out for me.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

STK series for classic D&D Feel.
Gwylan's Stand - Freaking love this quest.  Has something for everyone.
Stormcleave Outpost - Another all timer.
Irestone Inlet - If for nothing other than scottish pirate impersonations.
Tempest Spine - Pure fun at level back in the day.
Tear of Dakhaan - Look forward to this one every life.
Von 5 (but not 6)
A Cry for Help - Tranny narration.  In the words of Deadpool:  "I call wang."
Tor - Dragons that move!  Fuck yeah!  (There was a time when this was rare...)
Rainbow in the Dark - I know it defies all logic and our level 16-18 character's power, but I like the dark element and the quest itself.
Enter the Kobold - Unique puzzle.  Bitch of an end fight back in the day.  Even today at level it can be a rough ride.

The Pit because it was awesome.

The VoN series because it was so epic back when the max level was 10. DDO was my first MMO, and I will never forget the mystery, intrigue, and epic feel it gave. I never stopped liking that series.

STK pt3 pre nerf was awesome. Back in the day making a shield wall and having a sorc nuke the boss....

The crucible will always be one of my favorites, if not my favorite. Challenging mechanics, and mobs/mob setup. Good story and good boss fight, with good shrine placement to force you to plan your attack.

Stormcleave and Gwylans. Nuff said. They're amazing. Great classic dnd feel dungeon crawl. Large epic maps. Good times. Also the SC boss was awesome. Once again a fight made challenging by mechanics along with other factors.

Epic chains at cap 20. What a great time. Required a good group comp, resource management, teamwork, etc. Was challenging and fun.

My current favorite quest is LE TS. Challenging and fun, with the old school DDO feel. Its not perfect but i enjoy it.

Weapon shipment.

Because king of the hill is a rare game type, and while breaking the ranks, and devil assault, are functionally similar...  The fail condition made it an interesting challenge back when.

A bunch of good ones already mentioned, but I would add the older two madness chains. Fun, humorous, nice loot for its time and the end fight of In the Flesh is always ready to fire up the soulstone factory for the unprepared.

Love Through a Mirror Darkly.  it was first map that had me get out my own notebook and sketch it out, as opposed to using a DDOwiki map.
I liked experimenting different spots to use the mirror in, searching for all the optionals, and Tyvrus' looong.. sloooow.. clap
