connecting to patch server fails

Hey, I originally wanted to ask this question on the moboes, but did not wanna end up hearing all the stupid shit they would say there. I came here to the integilebent forum.

Recently i have not been able to connect, client gets stuck at 33% progress, cant connect to patch server. It has been like this for a week or so now.

Anyone knows a possible explanation/solution? The client on my other older computer works just fine.

The most broken epic PL in the game is the ridiculous AC buff from martial PLs. But when you include all the inherent benefits from reincarnation, the thing is above the roof. The benefit from TR was supposed to be minimal, but now it is game breaking. start a new character and you will feel, you will get raped in heroics.

Personally I think lower heroics on new characters are harder than Legendary Elite content on a character with good gear and has all destinies farmed.

Ah when did these lines get in my hosts ffs?
I never manipulated my hosts, other than denying access to  NWN bioware master server. This is wierd.
Now it works fine.

A while ago when the DNS for Turbine wasn't working we were all getting around it by adding those manually to the HOSTS file, are you sure you didn't do it then? Would have been a little over a year ago if I can remember.

None of my computers have them listed now so it wasn't forced from Turbine's end.

Hmm, interestingly enough, i am almost sure i did not add them manually as they had not existed there when i denied bioware master server 2-3 weeks back.

guess it will remain a mistery.
