What item to get with anniversary token

I am a very, very new player and I have an elven ranger at lvl 6. At the beginning I was trying to make a tempest build but I dont really understand which build is good for what, so let me say that I want to be doing well with melee while still being able to switch to a bow when necessary. I dont get the multiclass thing as well.
I have been trying to decide about what item to get with my anniversary token -something that will be of use considering what I want- soo I hope somebody can help me here.  Embarrassed

This is a tough decision for you. There are a lot of great choices on there. The CitW weapons(the level 23 stuff) is top-notch and will be powerful for you later in-game. Pinion, Cloud-piercer is widely considered the finest bow in the game.

I have a rogue that and dunno what to get him....the finger gloves, tharnes or one of the other rogue goodies.....I.m kind of leaning towards the goggles....

Same problem for my caster though I'm leaning litany...

The Belt of Brute Strength (with +6 str and Greater False Life) might be decent for a new player... usable at level 9 and consolidates two needed stat items.

Minos Legens is the same deal with fort and vitality +20 if you don't have the pack or think you'll be able to grind it out.

You've a tough choice ahead of you.
