I think they should just leave it as it is for the time being, and if they are smart, which they are not, id start a new gaming company up to get started to ddo online 2. if warner say they are going to make several movies of D&D then its only logic to promote the game also, but you need a whole new game with up to date current technology code and grafix....
DDO 2 will be terrible.
And you don't need an up-to-date game. DDO looks fine on high graphics and if they fix the problems it has it plays great. It has a lot of deep and interesting levels. A little polish, a little shine, and it could make them money for a fraction of the cost of making a new game.
Plus, with the TR mechanic and an existing player-base that is constantly TRing, the barriers to entry are a ton lower for new players. So, yeah, stick with DDO as is.
DDO 2 is just going to be a micro-transaction-fueled, pay-2-win, PvP-centric lag-fest.
