Known Issue: Memoirs of an Illusory Larcener

The new quest Memoirs of an Illusory Larcener cannot be completed if more than one player character is in the quest (hirelings are fine.)


HOW THE FUCK DOES A BUG THIS BIG AND THIS STUPID MAKE IT TO PRODUCTION?!?!?!?!

Because they rushed the developer and didn't go through any quality assurance? Also most likely nobody ran the quest at all or even saw it before it came live. It's easily the most half-hearted quest I've seen in ddo. Maybe they hired someone important's son to write it and everyone patted him on the back, kinda like the coaches' kid playing in the minor leagues?

I swear I've seen dos freeware games better thought out that than quest. It has literally no graphics, no dialogue, nothing period other than loot. It's as if it was someone's test quest to learn the game engine and accidentally got into the build.

It can be completed with a group as we did earlier, you just have to come in solo till you're past the tavern circle then you let everyone in before the tavern fight!

It's not their fault, they only have 1 playtester left  Roll Eyes

And once again Turbine argues that software development best practices don't apply to them Smiley
  
Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

Send in a rouge to solo it, take a shower while he tries to clear the first room, talk shit to him when he dies, go into quest to get his stone, have him release group, have rest of party enter quest and complete as normal.

FYI.  In memories --- go in alone, clear first part kill elf in tavern then others can enter.  We get to ship and talk to Lucy, then was to gather party in treasure room. It wouldn't advance. So I had one person stay logged in while rest of party logged and then logged back it.  It opened it up and we could complete the rest of quest. 

Just trying to help you all.

The 1st part of the problem was that it was never on Lamannia.  Raids are likely the only quests they have internal tests where there is more than 1 person trying it together.  Nothing new, typical Turbine.
