I never cease to be amazed at the horrible decisions Turbine is capable of. I just said 3 days ago that psion in DDO would inevitably be crap, and lo and behold, they've been discussing it in the PC.

If this is true then my vote goes to Psionics!
Of course you'd want the Psions, Fran - it's the stupid one. Here is why:

When all of you say you want a psionic class I really get the feeling you're not remembering that this would be programmed by Turbine.
You're not gonna get a psion. You're gonna get a spellcaster with sonic SLAs, charm person, and warforged weapon attachment reskinned as graft. It will be OP, but it's not gonna be a psion.
I can already tell that's gonna be the one they pick though, cause it's the one they can fuck up the most.
How are they gonna implement all of the telekinetics? Are you going to be able to pull levers from a distance? Nope. Are you going to be able to lift other players up to areas they wouldn't normally be able to reach? Nope. Are you going to be able to cast sonic blast and 'pretend' it came from your brain? Fuck yeah!
Give them finger of death and call it something kinky instead. Give it to them at level 11. Hell, give it them at level 7. They can tell all of the wizards in DDO to go fuck themselves like they did when they gave warlocks wail at level 16. "Why are you even playing a wizard that uses finger," they'll say. "Reroll your caster as a shiradi and just spam magic missile."
None of the appeal of the psion class in D&D will translate to DDO in a way that hasn't already been accomplished by Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, or any of the other classes.
I'm now watching the train wreck before it happens. If I can say anything, now, before they start fucking it all up, it's this. Please, Severlin, please do not use spell points with psions. I should not be able to cross class as a wizard/psion and use spell points from wizard for psion abilities. That would literally be the stupidest thing ever, and I've no doubt you'll disappoint me.
