i have serious inventory management issues, is it even worth it to keep red fens stuff. doesn't seem relevant anymore, i have a bunch of old shit like that and as for the new loot gen, what is worth auctioning for plat or shard and what should i vendor? iv kept everything ability+12 or greater and insightful +4 or greater. obviously the crazy stuff like +6 enchant +6 spell pen +2 insightful spell pen is a keeper but if it isnt amazing like that i just dont know what to do with it Undecided

Here's what I do, and I'm a horrible hoarder...

If it isn't a item for the the very next TR, it is melted/sold.  Planning!

If it is BoE and is replaced by newer loot, it is on the ASAH. Cheap, even.  Let the suckers buy.

This leaves items which are BtA or BtC on pickup.  If I can't use them immediately, and can't see a use for them in the next life, I ask the group "Do you need <link>?"
If anyone says yes, I pass it to them.  This can help you when you need a singular item, because people will remember your generosity.  You might be passed the items you actually need.  Or think you need.

Wait...I thought the sole reason for you being here was to troll for dates with men (or at least material for your spank bank).

Was there another?  Seems unlikely.

Personally I've given up on loot gen entirely. I take a brief glance at it bust most gets vendor-trashed. Will start melting it once the cannith pass comes out. When I need something and think a piece of rangen will do, i go on the AH for it. Have found a grand total of 2 items on my own that were useful.

These days I'm mostly green steel/BtA/BtC gear, I use much of the same stuff every life. It's still an inventory nightmare, but I'm getting by. I think i have it down to where I can empty the TR cache with just the house K favor unlocks.

I'd wait for CC Crafting to see where the numbers (and grind) are at, but I personally don't keep any stats below a +14 on ML 29 or ML 30 gear.  +5 on the insightful.  UNLESS it is a super sweet 3 effect item.

In fact, I keep no single useful effect items at all.  If it doesn't have at least two useful effects at above average level for the ML, then I vendor it.  Most of what I hang onto are items with 3 useful effects (not many of them, and often the values are not better than average for the ML)  I do give consideration for things that have augment slots and I'm hanging onto a few weapons just for their metal property in case I want to craft onto them.

Once we know how easy/hard it is to make stuff with CC and what the power level is at various key ranges, then you can make a better decision what you want to keep.

Most of the stuff I keep below ML 20, though is BtA or unbound, so it can be easily moved to other characters for getting lives done.  (or stored on a mule in the meantime to keep my TR cache low)  I keep very little BtC stuff below ML 20.  Just some key raid loot and shroud stuff.  Above ML 20, I have more stuff, because I run more Epic PL's and Iconic PL's, which are heavier in that range.  Again, though, most of it is BtA.  A lot of the BtC stuff (outside of the CiTW weapons and Thunderholme weapons) is outdated at this point until you get to Leg Shroud, HH, and ToEE gear at ML 26 or MoD/Thunderholme/DoJ gear at ML 28.

Over the course of the last two lives I have destroyed about 80 items.

I ask myself when was the last time I actually used this shit. If I can't remember when, it's gone.

If I can remember when I look at the stats and turn to the AH guy. If I can find something better without trying too hard, it's gone.

CC is going to change everything. It will suck due to a lack of flexible shards and general turbine incompetence, but it will change everything.

Red Fens stuff is fairly easy to go get again if for some reason you ever need it. I say dump that shit.

If CC Loot can deliver +15/+7 stat items (as screen shots suggest it can), I doubt there is much non-named/non-raid loot that I will keep.  I don't want a +17 stat with two shit effects.  It's not worth the slot and the hassle of working the rest of your gear around it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the new CC can do for none-ML30 gear, but so far it seems like it should be pretty great. My biggest gear-gap is in the mid-20s(25-28 or so) so I'll be looking hard at the best ML 24/25 gear I can make. Don't care about stuff that's only used at 30, I never stay there Tongue

I've said it before and I'll say it again: if KNN actually came out as gay he'd get more support here than he does now.

Made ML 26 and 28 Strength/Insightful STR/Healing Amp gloves.
Both were +12 STR, +5 Insightful STR.
The Healing Amp was +48/+51.

I think it was PsychoBlonde who made a STR +5, INSIGHT STR +3 and Resistance +5 item which was ML10. I think it's fair to say that lower levels are going to get a fairly big bump in power.

without duping, just by hoarding I have... 10ks ( not sure how many ) new essences... the issue is the new collectis and the PEDS.

so far I don't think I have more than 5 PEDS
