Quote:
“We are very interested in bringing Ravenloft to DDO, it’s not so much a matter of if, as it is when, So it is a plan that we are absolutely pursuing at this point, to go into Ravenloft. Stay tuned for More information”  – Community Manager Cordovan

“There can always be things, that lead to changes in our scheduled and that sort of thing, but we are very much interested into going into Ravenloft, at the very least it will be brought up in a producer’s letter, that we are working on it currently” – Community Manager Cordovan

Interesting.

More content? Who can say no to that!

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

Ravenloft, a hugely undead focused setting.  I wonder if they'll fix Turn Undead, so that it's not just something you spend for other effects that actually work?

Nah, who am I kidding?

No, let me be Frank.

Since when?  The breakdown is certainly more weighted towards the undead, but they're not even half the monsters.

They just follow Hasbro release schedule more or less :

http://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/curse-strahd

they just swapped giants and Ravenloft ( for whatever reasons ) :

http://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/storm-kings-thunder

so expect U33 to have Ravenloft.

This.
They're just being Hasbro's bitch to try and get some table scraps thrown their way.
Fuck knows, they are probably doing it to get free t-shirts, other shit merchandise or some other irrelevant reason.

They aren't doing it because it is to benefit DDO.

They have lowered the bar of expectation so low, that they could release a room full of breakable barrels and some of you bitches would be excited...

Isn't the first rule of Ravenloft that once You enter You can't get out?
If they implement it = Ravenloft.
If they don't implement it = Just another undead heavy chain.

If they can get cross promotion/sync with Hasbro/WoTC and somehow get cross promotion/sync with WB on the D&D movie, wouldn't those be good things?

Not sure I see how this is a negative that they are doing something at the same time as WoTC.

Fanbois will get excited about anything.  No matter how bad it really is.

Doombois will bitch about anything.  No matter how good it really is.

That's not going to change anytime soon.

When "new content" is re-hashed old content minus the fun bits, includes several "new systems" that don't actually deliver any new value to the gameplay experience, and this comes at the expense of old issues continuing to be neglected, I'll say "no, thanks".

^This

New content is the only thing I have even the slightest interest in buying, and I don't even have much interest in buying that until they fix up the current problems. I don't mean to imply that I'm boycotting DDO, it's just enui brought on by the general state of the game. If *they* can't be bothered to care about their game, how could *I* be expected to?

Ravenloft was good, but Forgotten Realms was awesome and the magic didn't make the translation to DDO, so I don't await Ravenloft with baited breath. They are going to port a lesser setting with a smaller staff and crappier servers, that's just a recipe for a mediocre offering.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

"Tried" is the correct label for this.

When I run an Arti I usually take that for the rusted bucket, because really all it is good for is boosting my SP and the regen effect.  It'll usually break a few barrels early in a dungeon, but then at some point it'll get broken somehow and just run up to a barrel and stand there doing nothing.  If I shoot that barrel it'll run up to the next one and stand there again.  No amount of button mashing on the command bar ever breaks it loose from this behavior, it takes entering the next dungeon to reset it temporarily again.

No, let me be Frank.

Yup.  It's been like this since the "enhancement" went live.  Because ROCK STARS.
