I'd pay Real World money for cosmetics like that in DDO.

Agreed.  The heroic necklace is worth having as a bta item to throw on TR's.  The rest is extremely meh.

The U34 gear farm is reaper gear.

I personally think the wings look great, but hey, to each their own. Also, the rune arm shoots books. It's not my ultimate dream Rune Arm - I want one that shoots ghosts and looks like the oversized platemail gauntlet of a suit of armor in a classic cartoon with ghosts in it, y'know? Like a suit of animated armor from Strahd? A gauntlet from there, and then you can fire it to shoot ghosts at people.

Man, no new items riddled with powercreep for one update and people get bitchy, huh? I'm shocked, really. Shocked.

for old epic gear, will we farming for a heroic SOS with reaper stats on it that we can upgrade to epic SOS?  or just looking for "new" epic gear.  the eSOS is usable, as so is the epic golden guile (for me anyways)

If you are okay with never upgrading them, sure, but turning an item into its epic version will cause the reaper and mythic bonuses to fall off.

Loot with power creep is a short sugar-high. Loot with interesting and rare/new abilities that can affect gameplay in odd but mostly minor ways is a long-lasting, genuinely great addition.

This small batch is neither. The +stats on all reaper gear is power creep. We haven't seen anything new since ... Jibber's Blade?
