I actually like it a bit, but that being said I'm a bit concerned due to the NDA. All I can say is if this is their third arti tree and the FVS one remains the same as I had seen and got to give feedback on before I was rotated off the council, then I'm concerned about potential trees down the line for any class.

I'm more interested in the stuff outside of this tree.
- Improved Construct Essence is going to finally be worth it.  The feat tax for Construct Exemplar was just bullshit.
- The level 18 Arcanotech core is a vast improvement.  The capstone could use another +2 CL/MCL adjustments as well.
- Fuck that Haste clickie!  Artificers can already cast Haste Armor and have 1 minute hastes just by drinking a damn potion.  I want my single spell point buffer!

As for Mastermaker, it'll steal some points from Harper Agent.  But I don't see any 41+ build that I'd want to play.

To me, this could be abused:

It was OP for Warlocks to get 1600 (ish) temp HP every 30 seconds just for themselves for a T5 enhancement that locked out any DPS/Caster Tree T5's, but an Arti can pick this up at T4.   And it hits the whole party.  You could do 15 Arti/5 x splashes that can do other shit and get 800 temp hp per 2 seconds for everyone. 

I dunno.  Seems like a lot of temp HP to be handing out to everyone at T4. 

If that goes live, it will be a mistake.

You seem like you expect SSG to learn from their mistakes.

If they did that, they wouldn't be reintroducing old bugs and design problems every time they push out new content.

Yes.

I'm not sure what the goal was for this tree, but unless it was "casually make an arti tree with the best healing in DDO (albeit with a cooldown)", they did not succeed.

I actually like the "converter" thing that allows people to heal with repair and I'm fine with them adding the reconstruct sla which has nice synergy with that, but I have no idea why an attempt was made to turn artis into a viable healing class.

Supplementary healing via repair spells and converter or robot party members is thematically appropriate.
Spamming 1000 temp hp for 20 seconds and having access to mass cure slas? Less so.

The goal is to drive sale of the Artificier  class (for those too lazy to get it through favor).

It will be nerfed once sales taper off.

I find it odd that the devs believe this tree is going to help battle engineers, in particular the melee engies. I mean it certainly will; the issue is the Battle Engineer T5s while solid, don't remotely hold a candle to 20% racial HP and repair aura.

Hell, I'd even break running my usual purity runs and splash fighter or pally just for the 40% maximum HP boost.

Howevery on the flip side; I can see some hilarity ensuing from undead artificer builds. Just a shame deadly is at 15. Vampire artificers with SFW attack speed would be naughty for negging trash for your instakillers in reaper.

I will definitely run this tree. My build will ignore what my party members say while expertly baiting mobs into attacking. It will be a Renegade Masturbator.

On the plus side, if this goes live at least the mouthbreathers on the mobos might finally stfu about nerfing warlocks.

It'll be refreshing to see daily "artificers solo'd my mom AND my sister without getting to half HPs, nerfz them!!!!!!" instead of usual "warlocks touched my mom and me in the bad place, nerfz them!!!!!" bs.

I kind of like where this tree is going...

But that Construct Renewal giving the outrageous temp HP to everyone in the party had me scratching my head, since they just had to nerfed warlocks for the huge temp HP advantage.

I like the Converter... this sort of allows an arty to run as a kind of Arcane Radiant Servant while still using xbows and rune arms. I know a few people who would be OK with that.

It's got some bumps and warts, but this tree has some promising aspects.

PS- You all know that the broken Temp HP is going to go live. Enjoy it while you can.  Grin
