So here is what I am wondering. Considering how serial TRing leads to an abundant of tp did any one who regularly spent cash get a deletion?

Just off the top of my head, this is what I lost on the 4 toons that were deleted:
+7 attribute tomes on all 4
all greater tomes of learning on all 4
+3 fate tomes on all 4
all bank slots and personal inventory slots on all 4
all +4 or greater skill tomes on all 4
all re-rolled for gear that I spent countless shards re-rolling somewhere in the 100's of thousands shards
about 30+ Otto's boxes that were used
1 Otto's box that was unused
all huge+ bags on all 4
countless pots; xp, slayer, renown, sp, etc...
countless useful augments
countless cosmetics, mirrors, gold roll winning and xp tokens
All purchased from DDO store

Like I said just off the top of my head, really just scratching the surface. Been a loyal vip  customer for 6+ years

So to answer your question yes people that have spent lots of real money to support this game, the devs and their family, have been deleted with no warning.

This was never in question.

Even with serial TRing/TP grinding, you would barely earn enough TP to buy adventure packs. I've never met a fully F2P player who wasn't a sack of shit barely able to play the game. I'm sure there were one or two F2P players who managed to get there, but I suspect the majority of the bans were directed at paying customers.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

It's pretty low risk when you look at how Turbine/SSG treated exploits/exploiters over the last decade.

Just how long do you think Turbine/SSG should have gone with just slapping people on the wrist? 12 years wasn't long enough?

How long should they continue being so bad at coding that their game is riddled with exploits? 12 years seems like an awfully long time.

Are you actually trying to justify cheating because DDO has bugs? Really??

No. I was making a snarky joke. Dusting out the tried and true "How come the devs can't fix the bugs?"

I think any major policy change should come with an announcement. No matter what that policy change is.

If SSG decided, "Ya know what, we should really just ban the shit out of people who exploit," then come out and say that.  Cordo can make a post and they can send a mail message to everyone in game that says they're (FINALLY) going to take exploiting seriously and that they've added tracking software to some of the known exploits and that they're going to ban players and delete characters who engage in exploits.

I don't think anyone has a problem with SSG taking exploits seriously. I think pretty much everyone who has a problem with the bannings/deletions is unhappy about the sketchy way that SSG went about doing it.

Heard in 2008:
"This game is dying.  It will be dead within a year"

Heard in 2014 after shadowfell:

"This game will never see another expansion".

Heard after server merge in March, 2016:

"This game is closing in 3 months"

Heard in May 2016:
"The license isn't being renewed.  Game closing"

Doooom!!!!! is always in season.

Had a guildie who was fully F2P and was crazy good. Long story short he stopped playing long before the last exploits were rampaging thru. Just like 90% of all the serious end gaming, raid leading and teaching guildies I had...

Do you mean a legitimate problem, or just butthurt? Cuz if butthurt counts as a problem, everyone's a pain in the ass now and then. Especially when they play video games. So there's always plenty butthurt to go around.

If you mean a legitimate problem, then I think most ought to. SSG keeps Cordo employed. If they try to do anything serious that has a public face, that's a fucking problem.

No warning?  If you've been playing as long as you say then you knew all about previous exploits and the penalties associated with getting caught.  Own it and stop whining how unfair it is when you deliberately broke the rules.

NOTE:  not a paladin or anything, but the amount of people whining about being caught is stupid.
