	According to the login window: "Wed, 18 Jul 2018 19:15:42 +0000 We are temporarily closing White Plume Mountain to fix an issue that is causing a game crash. The other quests in the White Plume Mountain and Other Tales adventure pack remain open. We are working on a hotfix for this issue." So there's the official line. The code is client-breaking unstable.

	There was a bug that if you broke an orb in the slime room it would crash everyone in ANY instance of White Plume. That's why it was taken down.
