Yeah, this game definitely has some serious sprawl. 

If SSG had any marketing savvy at all (which they don't), they'd put together some "New Player Combo Packs" with the core adventure packs, some of the iconics, and maybe even some crafting mats or at least a non-shit set of gear for various levels.

Oh, and they'd fix the damned to nine hells hireling AI and give them hirelings some realistic survivability and defensive stuff.

Those two things would do wonders for making this game much more affordable and friendly to newbies.  But they'll never do it because one requires some marketing smarts and the other requires actual coding skill and work.

Instead, they think they're going to help new and casual players keep up by giving them an extra 200 hps while they give the end-gamers 1000 hps with the same "fix" lol.

This is what escapes SSG.

This game has always been a grind game. They fail to even bother with mechanics that would make challenge based on skill, and instead make the quests just straight forward meatgrinders with required kills, and pathways that won't unlock until you kill x mob and y mob.

Instead of trying to improve melee's "second rate" status (LOL) by including more active gameplay, they listen to players who complain about not being able to do r10 on their under geared character that only has 2 hot bars and refuses to use clickies because "its hard"

The vast majority of players who are complaining about reaper survivability are those you will find in other threads commenting on how using even 1 or 2 defensive clickies is simply too much to handle for them.

Lets face it, most of the players refuse to give even minimal effort into trying to stay alive (positioning, tactics, clickies, gear layout), yet feel entitled to complete r10 with minimal effort. And those are the players the devs listen to the most.

Really sad, because I had hoped they were going to turn a new stone, but this buff (if it goes live) just shows that once again the developers can't think of anything besides arbitrary power creep.

Died twice, to spikes (3700 a shot).   Didn't die in combat, in R10 Shrahd. 

The reason a film wasn't posted is there's a certain other guild that HS didn't want to copy the strategy.  That and a 4 hours video is just nuts to post anyway.

At this point the AI is so fucked up by ten different fucking "rockstars" mucking about with it, the only way they could improve it was to have a SSG employee manually controlling them.

I'm 99.99% sure that a few things were used that have now been fixed. I wouldn't call them sploits, I'd call them developer oversights, personally. I'm pretty sure the strategy can't be replicated on live again.

This in no way shape or form diminishes their completion - personally I want to see a video because I get bored easily and apparently have too much time on my hands.
