Dispel from Sarlona

There's been some rumors that the pvp legend known as "Dispel" from Sarlona got his account back after 6 years. One person even saw him sadly looking around the Wayward Lobster pvp pit before logging off.

Some say he frequents the vault. Even went as far as to use my friends in-game name has his vault name. Savage.

Dispel, if you see this PM me. I have so many questions.

Pretty sure he was a lonely teenager who wanted all the attention he could get, no matter if good or bad.  It was mostly bad.

He's been "back" a few times, under various names.

Now?  I imagine he's in his 20s.  That's all I got.

He has been back several times.

He was playing a toon with purple in the name for a bit.

Mostly people had issues with his bait/ban tactics on the forum.

DDO PVP. Wow.

I never really cared much for DDO PvP, but thinking about it brings back good memories of a bygone era when DDO was a much better and healthier game. I got lots of good memories of the Wayward Lobster, even though I seldom PvPed; usually it was fun to just sit there and chat for a few minutes while waiting for a group to fill, or watch other people kick each others' asses.

Good times, man. Good times. RIP Wayward Lobster

Yeah DDO certainly peaked at mid 2010 to 2011. Both in the player base and state of the game. When I started playing I spent most of my time pvping in the lobster. Was really just a social hub with 15 people on average. At peak times 25-30 (on Sarlona). I eventually started raiding more but I always came back when I was on timers. The lobster essentially died with the release of MotU. Player base was already stagnating due to content drought leading up to MotU. Then MotU split the player base up while making pvp even more unbalanced.
