If you're using Vistani to level, Nightforge stiletto does piercing AND slashing damage, and here's this:

-Increased crit threat
-Can be obtained in minutes
-good for mummies and xombies and shit that has pierce DR
-Adamantium for things metal
-redslot

It's very okay. But BtC, and not eligible for mythic/reaper bonuses. That's a bummer.

Definitely good for breaking those specific drs. Overall though I still like the Sky Pirates dagger way more. Despite being a level 4 weapon sky pirates has bigger dmg die, x3 crit and 17 to 20 range as well as dex to hit/dmg if that's helpful to the build.

The x3 multi just makes it scale so well with past life dmg boosters et cetera.

I never said it was better than Sky Pirates. Of course you should use two of those if there's no DR and most importantly YOU MANAGE TO LOOT 2 OF THEM.

It's almost impossible to get one. You can get 2 Nightforge Stilettos in about 20 minutes and break almost any DR with them.

Also Sky Pirates has a crit threat of 17-20 because of Keen, whereas Nightforge has 17-20 BEFORE Imp Crit, these weapons are closer in damage than you might think

Heyo there's the Vault I know. Random anger for no reason.  I just said I like Sky Pirate's more.

And despite the aggressive response I'll give you some tips on how to farm the SPD.

Turn level 4, go to 3BC.
Reset Fire Caves quest (or get for first time).
Port to fire caves, run fire caves in about 5 mins for thousands of xp.
Exit Fire Caves and jump down lava river.  Hug right side of cliff entire way careful as you jump and there are ledges that anyone with decent Mario skills can use to shortcut around mountain to the Tiefling Assasin.
If you are Harharhar fall down and decide if you want to check and see if named Kobold is there before proceeding the long way around to the tiefling.
Kill named tiefling who is always there and loot chest.
Proceed to check on the Sky Pirate.  Named mob is there about 1 out of 3 times. 
If he is there absolutely re-roll chest as it only costs 3 shards as it is such a low level chest. 

Takes me about 6 to 9 fire caves runs every life to get:

Tens of thousands of fire cave xp, (plus xp from slayers)
1 Tiefling Assassin's Blade (or more)
1 Sky Pirates Dagger (or more)

Sell loot on shard exchange, take level 7 and profit. I usually accomplish this in about 90 minutes of game time.

It's still faster to get the stiletto, it still helps you with slashing when the SPD does not, and it's still adamantium.

It's frustrating because I didn't title this thread "why you should not have SPD or sell them if you do because nightforge stiletto is better" which is how you responded to me.

They serve very different purposes, and difficultly/time to acquire is only one of the reasons. I level with a SPD, but once you hit lvl 8+ you're in so much undead content that I temp switch to stiletto for the DR breaking until after ravenloft a lot of the time.

Everyone should have both, or a stiletto if they're too lazy/unlucky/shard poor to do your thing for a SPD
