Druid-Razor

Alright folks; with the upcoming Knight's Training feat druids become the undisputed champion of using Soulrazor.

It's time for us to pool together and put forward our best combinations of making use of this.

For those of you who aren't aware of why druids win the Soulrazor use battle here's a TL;DR: It's called Dethek Runestone.

Slapping +2W on top of the extra +1 multiplier makes druids the top dog for this bad boy. Although I'll note monks are a close contender at +1.5W, potentially matching the +2W if Improved Martial Arts works properly (last I checked it doesn't), and being able to hit +3.5W if you're willing to stomach being in GMoF while in fire stance.

The question in my book is what makes it better. You could go 6 barbarian for any sort of combination of nice things. Wolf form probably benefits the most from this concept.

Although I'd argue bear benefits more from the barb splash, but purer bears and using T5 NP gets you a bit more bang for the buck from Soulrazor's melee power.

Racially for min-maxing Soulrazor;
  • You've got Warforged for 15MP and +0.5W.
  • Half orc works best with bear but nets you +40MP which stacks with prowess for the most per swing damage option.
  • Wild Elf nets you +5% doublestrike while raging, some to hit/damage bonuses, and potentially 5% offhand if it works (doubt it).
  • Aasimar is just that. No bonuses to the weapon but survability is always nice.

Can't use Dethek Runestone and remain centered.

Some thoughts:
Tremor gets you a better stat to damage. Neither weapon has vulnerability although you can fix that with scourge.

Better stat to damage? I assume you mean due to it being a 2hander.

Still base damage wise; you're looking a 9[1d8+3] + 15 for Soulrazor on a druid compared to 7[1d10+6] + 15 for Tremor.

Soulrazor is also going to provide you with the extra melee power that stacks and amps that base damage. The only downside is you won't have the crit range of Tremor Silvanus. Which is a bit of a wash if you do the right barb split and pick the right racial.

Tempest.

I'm not sure; 14/6 wolf ravager is looking at a much better crit range plus the extra attack speed.

Tempets get a lot of hits per second. Personally, I'm not sure how it all boils out.

Until Lamannia's around for me to test it. I'm thinking Tempest wins on fights where DoD is going to get you a ton of value with trash.

Where as druid-rav will get you better value from straight beat downs. Only issue I see is lacking vulnerability proc on a wolf.
