Nothing I could support with good reasons. I was just wondering about the choice because everything on the build is tight and thought out I wondered if there was something behind Merfolk's. I haven't even been through Sharn yet because I'm cheap and wouldn't buy it and now I've been on HC, and I never raid because I smell bad even through the internet so I wondered if there was a recent swim heavy quest behind it or something. I like my sonic blast for breakables and manual spot checks but I can't argue shit about shit.

I'd opt for 20 electric spellpower instead of Hellball.  It hasn't been relevant since they fixed the bug that applied damage twice.

No Sunburst?  I'd take that over Greater Shout, but I raid THTH regularly.

No LGS for crit dmg? Or an additional LGS for INT skills?

What's your spell power and spell crit for ice, electric and force outside of reaper?  Arcane Pulse feels a bit weak, but didn't crunch the numbers with your setup.

That's probably a good call, I was thinking I'd still want it for evasion type mobs, but I guess I've got lots of other options.

Agree with you about the lack of +22 CHA/+5 Q CHA.  So much of Sharn has evasion.  Evocation DCs are king.

Personally I'd drop 5pc Adherents (ring, gloves, and boots) -- the juice is not worth the squeeze. 

The cloak and belt remain.
Sigil of Regalport for +22 CHA.
Shattered Onyx for +10 Insightful CHA
Sunken Slippers for +5 Quality CHA
Attunement's Gaze instead of Dusk Lenses for set bonus since INS potency is on slippers.  Don't need Potency.

Personally I'd find a way to shift other gear to include at least LGS triple cold spell crit dmg.  35% cold spell crit dmg is too much to give up.

Think bigger. The CHA item setup I outlined with the Gaze is -1 Evo DC behind your gloves, but +12 DC to every other school like Necromancy, which were you just lamenting.  That's before we address your filigree choices which are oddly focused on hjeal amp.

4pc Otto's for +2 DC, 200 SP
4pc Eye of the Beholder for +2 DC
3pc Frozen Wanderer

That's 3-4 Evo DC more than your setup, and now +16 DC to every other school.  That matters to me because:

Glitterdust instakills Rage pack eyes, and useful in other places.
Flesh to Stone! Also, taking Mass Frog on a sorc is a thing due to lack of options.
Hold Monster/Mass Hold Monster still a great choice against Veng+old reapers.

I could see trying to do just evo. (I really like Burst of Glacial Wrath.) But yeah, raid goggles + sunken slippers is probably better. It does make Arcane Pulse shitty though.

Actually I was going for MRR with the triple raid filigree setup. At first I looked at a 5 piece coalesced/4 piece frozen/2 piece whatever...then I realized I didn't have MRR slotted.

PS: Have you tested out the Azure Sea Necklace? That stuff doesn't stack, right?

You want mid armor, and you want clouded dreams. You also want opposition on your LGS, having 2 pieces with +30% crit damage; at least.

And you want mass hold, with a viable DC. You want will-based CC, and the evocation option is not viable, to say the least.

Medium armor is not an option for water like it is for fire with Flamecleansed Fury.  Water/air doesn't need Clouded Dreams when it gets the exceptional bonuses on the Order's Garb.

I am aware of the first part.

Regarding spell crit, I said 30%. that, you can get with 4 piece opposition.
