I was pessimistic and thought they were watching who came over and if they duped.

Then, I was optimistic that they actually rewrote some of the core code and this would be a performance test.

After that brief 10 seconds, I figured it was just a "we thought it would be cool" moment for them to waste development time so they could play along.  It can't be sustained; It is a distraction to make a few people think it is "cool" for awhile.  They will probably declare it a success (just like after every software drop, there is a dump in players) and maybe they will just toss everyone onto it and call it a win... except Mac players... they hate Apple.
