Identifying with a gender is one thing. The gender you actually are is another issue.

Lynnabel can identify with whatever she wants. If she wants to identify as a praying mantis, fine! If she wants to be called an insect-sounding first name, I'll call her that. However, like gender, identifying as something you're biologically not is not reality.

She can identify as a male all she wants but the reality is her gender is female. Her XX chromosome and sex organs make that clear.

Again, if she fully commits to her identity and undergoes a full transition, I'll use the male pronouns when referring to Quentin despite the XX chromosomes.

The only thing where you might have a legitimate point is if you can convince me (and others) there's a significant difference between the terms "sex" and "gender."

I'm of the mind, right now, that there isn't but I'm not fully committed to that. I am reading the article you linked carefully, btw, even though it appears to be, on its face, trying to warp the definition of "gender."
