	Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

	Good: 1. Moving through wilderness areas like King's Forest at 80% runspeed just to get to quests means less time my XP pot is ticking down. It may be minor, but it's annoying as fuck for people not around for the card cruncher anniversary event. Bad: 1. No stable like pets. Each pet takes up an inventory spot. smh 2. The "brown horse" mount demoed is boring/uninspiring. Using WoW as a barometer, people spend whale-level money on cool looking mounts. Emphasis on cool. Nothing cool has been showcased yet. Unknown: 1. Can you invis while mounted? If so, this mitigates the downside of being auto-dismounted when taking too much damage.

	I just saw this today... I don't know how useful it will be. It'd be funny if the mounts randomly dropped road apples and people got "what's that smell?" Debuffs in town� Mounts may be useful for the vanishingly rare new players, although I'm certain they will monetize it in B2 as a cash-only starter pack option. Random Thought: Is it just me, or does it seem like they're porting over LOTRO code piece-meal to monetize DDO further? If that's true, it's galling, because it means that DDO has deliberately been gimped to maintain LOTRO, for whatever reason. Note: I'm a huge Tolkien fan, but I don't have a single fuck to give about LOTRO.

I hope it was a port and they didn't waste more than like 10 minutes developing the useless thing. Even if it was only 10 minutes, 5 minutes of it would have been better spent adding farshifting locations to the wildernesses that needed them and the other 5 minutes could have been used towards that giant list of shit they should have been working on like improving earlier levels and gear for new player retention.

I've got no problem dropping buckets of money on mounts in NWO or GW2, they work well, work everywhere, and the cool ones are really cool. 	I think the mounts look interesting. Not just for faster travel in big adventure areas like storm horns and Ravenloft. But also for where it can go. I'd like a nightmare, for example. They can come up with some cool mounts going forward. it is a revenue path that does not add power creep. That's what the game needs. More revenue from this and less from otto's boxes (which inevitbably lead to more grinds and worse grinds).

	Say what you want about dev competency, but the art team usually comes through. So this will probably be a win. I don't like the inventory bloat aspect though. I hope they rethink that (and address other issues on that front, like cosmetic storage).

	Mounts will ONLY become interesting to me when they are flying mounts. Yes, I know what Cordovan said about flying mounts: Quote: Never say never, but the core issue of why not on fly (or flying mounts) remains: A lot of the content in the game isn't really set up for that kind of verticality, and if you actually do get up there, you start to see some of the immersion-breaking realities of game development.
