I do understand just fine.   My contention is that there wasn't anything that paying allowed him to "Win" that others didn't also "Win".   

It's like saying you paid the most to that crack-hoe tranny to blow you and it bit your dick off but you paid for it so … WINNING!

And short of topping the list on the leaderboard I got EVERYTHING paying nothing that he got with his Cash payment and I honestly believe if I had the time to sink into playing that he did I could have made a run on the leaderboard.  I was on it during the early days of the Server I just didn't have the time to keep playing to stay there nor the give a fuck to try either.   Keep in mind too that he had a toon die with all that "paid advantage" on it, if I recall.  The truth is that playtime, skill and luck as a lot more to do with HC league standings than how much money you dropped on it.

In the end, there was NO material reward for topping the HC server fuck how many people even now knew / remember his toon's name?   So yea he paid but he didn't really win anything and I still hope there are 100's lining up to try the same in the next league.

I struggle to see why it's so important to be on a leaderboard (that's deleted when the server shuts down) to some people and how anyone can possibly think that being on it is "Winning"

Sorry man I don't see that as a "win".

Nobody remembers his toon's name
Nobody remembers his player name
Running around on the server he has the same rewards as many others.

If it came with a lifetime sub or some greater reward then sure it's a win but at the end of the day he was theoretically popular or at least known for a short period of time at best.   I dunno if you need to see that as a win that's just sad to me.
