I disagree with this comment. Most all the players I run with have multiple alts. Beyond that, when you get outside of the meta crowd, alts become even more prevalent.
I feel like most of the alts getting played today were those created long ago. Having plenty of time to participate during the release of each hamster wheel.

This item make sense, especially in combination with other changes, but not at the price point they gave.
I could see it being that price pre-motu but definitely way too over priced for live.

Selling a ransack bypass timer would probably make a very small segment of the player base happy in the short term but would really only further speed up the "Let's gear grind new content into the ground as fast as possible....I'm bored. there is nothing do to for months until the next release besides the hamster wheel." cycle. They need to monetize the game in other ways, imo.
Agreed. Theres always ramifications when selling convenience items that eliminate purposely designed roadblocks.
+3 tomes stopping people from farming 20th lists in older heroic raids
Raid bypass timers/chest re-rolls destroying the longevity of content
I used to shit on the 18 hour epic quest and 3 day raid lock outs but it did an amazing job preserving content.
I think cosmetics would make a killing but it seems like its too much work for them to code? Having to mesh each race and all the animations. This appears to be the case considering they hardly released anything noteworthy in the shop. I understand they're bound by the "D&D" theme but will it kill them to make some actual good looking cosmetics and try to sell them?
