I have an alt that is in an experimental build that probably won't pan out so I am pondering what else to do when getting the next to last life for completionist on my raid tank doing a bard I find myself somewhat fascinated by the nuking evo/enchant based spellsinger. Horn of Thunder is awesome save for that 12 second cooldown. For a delayed dot Reverberate is pretty neat as well but I've only gotten this to level 14 in a bit over a week so I have no idea how this performs in Epics.
At any rate, I am pondering switching my experiment into a full on Spellsinger but the question is for end game is it worth it to stay pure or would a 4 level splash of Warlock or Sorc be useful given the caster levels. My instinct is to stay pure but the benefits might outweigh that I am just unsure. Additonally I haven't played the new Fatesinger changes yet so that would likely be my destiny unless there is a compelling reason to go say EA.
I want this to be viable and I know it will always be useful even if it ends up just healing and throwing on heal songs etc but I don't know how the sonic stuff scales into R4ish content.
So any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bard spell Dps is craploa in epics. Stay pure imo and go healer/cc if you've got a friend to kill things.
Otherwise go melee

Last time I checked, Reverberate sucks.
Horn is okayish. Longish cooldown and a bit expensive for an SLA, on a bard with a mediocre blue bar.
If you are running content where Soundburst works, evoker bards are fine in heroics.
It's a big help if you have enough racial AP to pick up a racial SLA.
In epics... yeah. The temporary HP from warchanter + sustaining song + heal give you decent survivability. Not great, but if go medium armor + heavy shield + 15% ASF augment, it's okayish. (I like ML17/22 Wall of Wood for stacking heal amp). I went fatesinger last life and the additional Greater Shout SLA is nice, as are other things. The three sonic nukes + energy burst give you some punch. Not much, but some. Wail is also okay and satisfying. Songs are good.
In legendary... hmpf. Songs are good.
Sharn mobs have high fort (not landing soundburst there easily) or they are outright immune (constructs). Your resonance is fairly low
* no source of
enhanced
spell power from ravenloft belts / lgs
* wiki has no insightful resonance items; do these exist?
* there's one quality resonance orb - this would be a lot better as a buckler or heavy shield
So you're losing on 200-400 spell power compared to other elemental spell powers...
plus there's the fact that Shout was for some reason not included in arcane spell pass...
