Well, we all knew this already. But now there is proof!  When running the Anniversary Party quest, killing the +Lichabel will give you a star, but killing the +Flimsy Firewood gets you nothing, not even additional XP.  I usually just skip him, as he is optional and worthless, not worth spending time hunting him down, unless he shows up while finding the +Lichabel.

It seems that DDO finally recognizes something that the community already was aware of, and has taken steps to demonstrate how useless Flimsy Firewood really is!
