So flipping back to ranged toons after forever, Im struggling to see the overpowering value of IPS anymore. It was always a no brainer but now I have to make other trade offs and maybe my play style (maybe reaper?) has changed a bit to where it doesnt feel as needed

In builds where I run IPS, I end up preferring to be in Archers Focus (stand still 3secs for +5 RP up to 15 stacks) most of the time. It degrades slowly, so you end up having a few stacks on you most of the time and then a lots of stacks for big mobs

IPS needs 21 dex, -20% damage, takes a feat and only sometimes hits extra mobs

Archers focus gives me +20% damage, a free feat, a few extra points to put in INT or CON, on average +20RP up to +75RP

Its definitely nice when IPS works, but not consistent enough for me any more

Even prenerf, I would swap between the two stances to attenuate aggro.  To me, IPS only lost value for the times I'm shooting down hallways (looking at you Grimm and Barrett). Current life I didn't include IPS for the VKF alchemist tosser.

This life I played around a bit and Ive swapped to Kensai capstone over INQ capstone and it seems much better

I do feel likw im maybe being a noob and underestimating the Diplo stuff from INQ tho, but kensai is feeling stronger
