Just curious what wisdom exists. I've seen things online, but they're outdated, pre-sharn.


Lvl 20 = 3.8 mil

Level 1-18.4= 2mil stone *1.7 xp buffs=3400000

18.4+ COGS saga (see below)=3,549,053 = 19.1

What else is time efficient to get to 20 OR would you suggest something else?

Considered that. But I’m looking for a few caster lives not iconic. Ideally I need 2 more wiz, 2 more fvs,
1 more sorc, and 3 alchemist.

Take 1 barb level for fast movement. Go STR based THF great axe.
Do level 1-7. Ideally use saved up Daily Dices to get to maybe level 4.
Then zerg to 7 with 2 ranks left to 8.
Use stone.

Gianthold is super fast and has a saga for a few extra XP.

Don't forget about Litany and the Necro IV quests (not counting Fleshmakers since I have never been able to solo it myself).  They're quick and easy and can still run them on Reaper at 18.

It's what you like, really.   Here are some options:

Daily Dice stones to 3 or 4. 

Bang Osgoods, Durks, Butchers, Bonebite, Stealthy blitz on R1.

Easy 40k in 20 min.

Hit Fire Caves 1 and 2.   

Easy 50k in 15 min.

Stone up.   That puts you at 3.5 mill instead of 3.4.

Hit Litany R/E/H/N.   

Easy 120k in 30 min.

Running With Devils and Rainbow in Vale on R1.

Easy 100k in 30 min.

Run the Vale while you are doing these two.   Throw in Rit Sac if you want.  Vale slayers and explorers with best pot on is good for 50k in 15 min. 

That will cap you (or close).

Other choices:

Lords of Dust and Servants of the Shard on R1

Easy 100k in 90 min.

ETK is crazy fast XP.  Several optionals, very fast run if you can do the puzzle and have the dps for the boss.  Worth 60-70k in 15 min.  Same with Monestary, if you bring a friend who can keep the boss busy.  Mirror Darkly is a worthy choice if you can redbox it and one other person runs it and knows the quick path to orbs.

You want to target quests with a base of 6-7k base XP or higher on elite that you can run in 10-15 min or less.

Also, I'm on the side of just taking the stone to get to mid 18 and powering through sharn(flagging)+cogs because I usually go to 30 and do a round of raids before reincarnating again. Just with those two, it'll take maybe an hour an a half tops to get your last 400k.

If you're just going to 20, you could just do cogs(r+e) for >250k in 40ish mins and run whatever else is good xp/min in the range.

1-7 is full of super short quests, so you'll net a lot more Rxp and favor that way.

A part of it depends on what your goals are.  If you want to spend time at cap running high skulls for the big first time bonuses, then avoid anything that you can run at cap.  That would mean not running cogs, sharn, etc.

If you are just getting to 20 to stone again, then run whatever you want.

I agree with th the comment that you will get more RXP out of running 1-7 doing R3-4.   The difference is probably not all that major in the grand scheme of things, but it would be more.

They fixed that a while ago.  You now get the bravery bonus, etc. even if you did them in Heroic. You don't get the first time XP Tome bonus, but you do get the BB/1st Time Reaper/Daily Play bonuses.

18-20 is faster on fire sorc for racials. Being a bit of a slob when it comes to throwing money at my gaming time, cogs then dice roll to 20 is fine for me. Even if I'm doing heroics and not racials, 18-20 on fire sorc then two +5s to the class of choice is more bearable than running WW and STK just one more time.

I actually find the early game refreshing on a heroic/racial TR...since Iconics, Epics, and "endgame" are all endlessly grinding Sharn and co.

If you are gonna run 1-7 play a barb or something that starts strong. 

I personally mix it up.   I do a little early stuff then I box and do some late stuff.   I use dice stones too.   But I have a ton of them from the seasons pass.   If we get a vip 10% weekend I can just ottos and small stone myself into serial tr

Yep same - been a long time since I barbed my way through level 7. Might do that again one of these days for laughs. It'll probably take me 4 hours because I haven't run them regularly for years.

Only if you're R1 scrub from 1 to 30.

Lots of vets already push skulls the higher level they go, b/c DPS gets bigger and self-heals get easier the higher you go.

ID is an epic quest...

When I used stones in the past, I'd kinda split the difference and level to ~6, hit the stone (with all boosts) then run a bit more to cap it off.  My strategy was not necessarily for time per se, I wanted to maximize my Coin Lord and K favor for bags to be able to empty cache and TR again.  Coin Lords have a lot of low level Harbor/Martket quests, and if you need more after the stone you can hit up IQ.  House K is a bit harder.  I usually hit up the Everful Flagon quests before I stone.  Then run even chain.  If you need more, eFens is pretty fast and easy.

This way you don't have to run low level crap solely for favor, which I always view as a waste of time and a chore.

It may not be the absolute most effective method, but it's the one that I enjoy the most, which is really all that matters.

hey can original ottos boxes stiil be used safely, with 2 Million XP Stone of Experience from new boxes so i  dont have to grind at all and i can go straight from 1-20.

Also can this be done in epics with 2 Million XP Stone of Epic Experience +  4 Million XP Stone of Improved Epic Experience to shorten the grind in epics?
