Hello Kids! Welcome back to Dumb DDO Questions! I'm your host: uhh.. Head-Meat.
As the kids say, it's "been a minute" since I've done a heroic TR. I forgot the soul crushing click-wait-click of emptying the TR cache.
Tell me there's a work-around on this? Do I need to install a auto-clicker and just walk away for an hour or what?
Any tips are appreciated. I want to do a few of these, but if I have to do this every time, I think I'll stop..

I macro auto click in place. something simple like :
click mouse button down with a 3 millisecond delay.
let go of mouse button with a 3 millisecond delay.
repeat steps 1 and 2.
then 3 full second delay at end.
loop that infinitely

Why can I not get macros to work within DDO?

You can, but it's a shit ton of work LOL.
I had a friend's AHK script that was based on image searching and clicking back when Crucible opt was a thing. That requires your pixel resolution to match when you save the cut resources and the resolution you have in-game.
I only needed to adjust it for resolution, extra delays between each action and character's base movement speed

I use a similar one to Rub but I do it through my mouse. If you have a newer gaming mouse they have simple macros built into them.
Its great for hitting all your midcombant buffs (e.x., tensers, then re-equip weapon, 1s delay, hasteboost)

I’ve got the Naga, the clicker described below works fine for me.

you know, you can just assign ordinary buttons to hotkeys in keymapping in options, and then assign naga macros to these buttons. Boom. Macros.

The key mapping in game works. But for some reason, when I try macros (I tried 3 different programs and the Naga software) I couldn’t get it to CLICK in-game. Not sure why.
Anyway, I toiled away a few iconics today. Sometimes the bank delay is like 1.5 seconds. But sometimes it’s like 8. I don’t know what that’s about.

With TR caches that are more full, the delay is full on 8 to 10 seconds per item removed on my potato. As the cache empties, the delay approaches instantaneous. It is not a linear relationship IME between items in cache and the delay, but more exponential. I just have AHK run the painful part while I enjoy something else to the point that my inventory is full. The last bits going into my personal bank goes quite smooth because of the now reduced delay.
If you can roll it you can smoke it. If you can carve it you can smoke with it.

Meat, you may want to purge garbage you’ll never use again. About a year ago, I got rid of shit that I’d been moving back and forth out of my tr cache for years without equipping once. It’ll take you a half hour and you’ll never look back. It makes TRing so much easier. You should be doing a racial life every 90 mins at a moderate pace if you’ve got your cache organized and your quest path down.

SSG may purge some of the really old stuff for you as well, I've had a dozen or so old school loot gen super-star items fade away over the last couple years. Banishers, Paras, guild augs, who all got overtaken by the game.

I’m realizing this. It’s painful. Some of that crap was hard-won! But I’m holding on to some old stuff that I realistically won’t use. It hurts my heart. I refuse to toss my Torc tho! So many DQ runs before I got one.

If you're still having trouble with this, try running your software as Administrator.
That's what did it for my Logitech software, same was true for getting AHK to work inside of DDO.

Agree with set up an autoclicker and go take a dump. The artful part is first creating enough space in your inventory so that the cache can fully empty in one go. Stash BtA items on alts or stored bank. Store BtCoE items on the shard exchange (set for absurd prices). Store unbound items on the regular AH (warning: max price is 2mil, and there are some items that will sell at that price)

I have a recommendation for the leveling and for the TR Cache:
Don't run lower level quests to get Coin Lord or House K favor. Those quests aren't great XP per minute (mostly) and if you don't have the Coin Lord or House K favor, you'll force yourself to either delete or offload gear and having less crap in your TR Cache will make an enormous difference in how painful going to the bank is.
Clear out your Shared Bank as best you can. Offload BtA level 1-10 gear onto a level 1-10 mule. Offload BtA level 11-20 gear onto a level 11-20 mule. Offload level 20+ gear onto an Epic mule. Delete the raid gear that you know you'll never use again. Yes, those Tharnes goggles were amazing when you got them. Remember how happy you were when they finally dropped for you. Thank them for their service. Then delete them. Don't even feed them to a sentient weapon. They're just 13 Sentient XP. Just delete them. Repeat that process ruthlessly for things that have clearly superior replacements with Cannith crafting or other named items or with items that you're only going to use for an hour while you blast through levels.

Practical Question: What old school crap IS worth keeping?
I see clickies as one.
-gh clickies
-Death ward clickies
-displacement clckies
-FOM clickies
-jump clickies
But I had a whole bunch of mid-level crap that was useful for a handfull of levels:
-Minos helm
-Chronos Abishai set stuff (epic OR regular)
-muckbane lol
What's your old crap you still find useful?

ML0 Icy Burst +3 throwers
ML1 Ranged/Melee Alac 10% trinket
Occasionally the odd weapon, e.g. Carnifex
Invis clickies
Haste clickies
Displace clickies
Divine Power clickies
Probably other clickies too, oh yeah - Shield too. Anything it's a pain to get again. Mostly everything else I can just wait for L10 and the RL/CC combos.
