Practical Question: What old school crap IS worth keeping?

I see clickies as one.

-gh clickies
-Death ward clickies
-displacement clckies
-FOM clickies
-jump clickies

But I had a whole bunch of mid-level crap that was useful for a handfull of levels:

-Minos helm
-Chronos Abishai set stuff (epic OR regular)
-muckbane lol

What's your old crap you still find useful?

-gh clickies - Sure but use Planar Girds as they are unbound
-Death ward clickies - No is on BTA gear but I prefer Mabar pots anyway
-displacement clckies - Yes
-FOM clickies - Meh FOM is easy to get on gear these days I keep a Flask around though
-jump clickies - No - I just use the +10 pots, Bunny Hat and propulsion boots

-Minos helm - No any level 8 item with blue slot is equal/better
-Chronos Abishai set stuff (epic OR regular) - heroic is BTA so knock yourself out
-muckbane lol - yes until next patch when you can craft lvl 1 BTA blueshine weapons

BTC things I like to keep:
Battleworn Shield of Cyre event item so not farmable excellent large wooden shield with low ASF
SoS/eSoS
quiver
Some CITW weapons (great for levelling but even these can be given up now)
GS displacement Clickies & Heal amp stick
LGS
Current Raid Gear
Older legendary Raid Gear - notable mentions Circle of Malevolence, Dethek Runestone
Minor Artifacts with +mythic/reaper really wish they would make these BTA

Why minos? Slot HF at 8 and vitality at 11 somewhere else, we have a lot of gear with slots nowdays.

For (heroic) abishai set, and bta gear really, just plan ahead and have those in the shared bank, no need to clutter the tr cache.

Niche btc stuff, either justifies the slot, or make a bta similar thing and also droop it in shared.

My observation:

I think TR cache pauses about 1 second for every 40 items in the cache.
It might be 0.5 seconds per 20 items.

There's a new super-sekrit exploit method to clear the TR cache that Meathead should try out; it works from the character selection screen. Click one button, type in the character name, and ta-da, that TR cache will instantly be as empty as his head.

Note to any Turbine staffers reading this, and one I genuinely hope you share around the office: DDO has become a shit game because y'all have made it a shit game. Once it was great. Now, it's a festering puddle of monkey diarrhea. No matter how you try to justify it, or pat yourselves on the back for doing great jobs... it's a shit game now because of you. Y'all keep on giving the players the middle finger, and you keep expecting us to reward you for the abuse. I've had it with you narcissistic fuckwads and your myopic policies of ineptitude.

There's a lot of named weapons worth keeping. Accessories are probably only worth it for ML 1-5. Anything 8 or higher is eclipsed by slavers. Anything 10-20 is eclipsed by Ravenloft. Anything 15-28 is eclipsed by Sharn.

Agree with set up an autoclicker and go take a dump. The artful part is first creating enough space in your inventory so that the cache can fully empty in one go. Stash BtA items on alts or stored bank. Store BtCoE items on the shard exchange (set for absurd prices). Store unbound items on the regular AH (warning: max price is 2mil, and there are some items that will sell at that price)

I put a paralyzing crossbow up on the AH once using that tactic.  It was probably worth 5k plat so I put it up for a million, thinking I would get it back after the timer ran out.  Nope, some asshole bought it.  Probably someone from the Vault who knew the deal and wanted to fuck with me.

If you have Razer products, you can download Synapse from their website.  Making macros with that is so stupid easy even I can do it.

Tried it. Wouldn't work. I'll give it another shot though.

Ive had the autoclicker running at 5 second interval(5 entire seconds). its been at it for 90 minutes and has removed 30 items.

Going to try setting it to 10 seconds...

10 seconds seems to be the optimal delay. At 5 seconds it failed so many times it broke the game. 10 seconds did 60 items in about 5 minutes. Not exactly a blistering pace but I should be able to TR & lvl back to 18 before I hit the hey.

I actually usually enjoy clearing out the cache. It's a walk down memory lain, re-living all the past joys.

But 3 days later I really didn't want to do it again. And when I hit the next TR day after tomorrow I definitely won't be so excited lol

I can't remember if I posted this before, but I ended up just deleting LOTS of stuff. It hurt. I still have more crap than I need. But part of that is the fact that I don't know what build he'll end on.

Sometimes I want a caster cleric. Sometimes a melee monk. Sometimes a throwing monk. Sometimes a sorc/wiz.

So.. I'm keeping some stuff just to keep my options open. Very inefficient.

12/36 racials done. Looking at Helf right now, and they're still visually painful.

I got my cache down to where it all fits in my inventory with absolutely no favor-unlocked space. It too was painful. BUT most of what I kept are rare heroic weapons/items that were saved for years for exactly this purpose. I'm also intending to do a ton of wild and crazy builds so I'll want everything.

The rest is mostly for sentimental reasons. Stuff I spent a lot of time grinding for; and I still had to toss out some of those things. I'm willing to auto-clicker through the TR cache cycle in order to keep them.

A few months ago, I decided to try out Wolf Druids (right before the Wolf nerf). I did them as Half Elf lives because then I got a free Martial weapon proficiency without having to take my Barbarian level early and I got to have the Half Elf racial lives without looking at a Half Elf for three lives.

Wait wait wait .  This is actually a good tip.  I thought this was the Vault!

Genius. I'll settle with the MOTU spider mask. But this is a good idea.
