Come on, even with a tinfoil hat... I've seen a telecom operator do much much much much much much worse ( as in the only uncorrupted database backup they had was 6 month old and was provided by the customer support team of the telecom equipment manufacturer... that initially took it without telling the telco to pay with it on a testbed ) Now since there's a difference between said Telco and SSg that makes the Wayfinder problem a complete fuck up on SSG part. ( main difference is that the whole team in charge of the crashed server left when they were told to move form Paris to Lyon and the new team didn't know about the daily disk backup and the weekly tape one )

	Wow they are dense. If this game development gig ever crashes and burns I feel confident in saying most of them are qualified to be traffic control flaggers. 	So i started at around july 20th, i am playing in sargona. In that time while playing casually i must have done hundreds of quests, racked up a bunch of ddo points, got many, many named items, and pretty much saw all the new content from the past 3 years. I dont see how anyone that has gone through that would be ok with getting it all rolled back and told that if they hurry theyll be able to get their exp back in half the time and if they REALLY hurry they may even be better off with these temporary bonuses.

It is a massive fuck-up, but their intentions are exactly that - introduce sneaky sneaky tracking scripts into the environment, hence they tried it with Wayfinder first to minimize collateral damage. Easier to reimburse 50 players vs 500. Why do you think there's been absolutely zero explanation of what happened to Wayfinder and how they are 99% sure it wont happen to other servers?
