this entire stupid thread really just revolves around whether or not you agree that thrower is highest possible SINGLE target DPS or if it is both highest single target DPS AND highest trash DPS for killing lots of things at once.

Anyone who plays a thrower can tell you melee are out DPS'ing them in a PACK OF MOBS situation most of the time. On a single target Throwers are probably higher DPS (BURSTING) most of the time

Think about how many threads we have here on the vault and on the motherboards arguing the same basic "which is better" and how few of them have an actual answer. Its a lot.


Contrast with a game like World of Warcraft. WoW has just 3 things to do in the game(tank, DPS, healer), and for each role there is 1 optimal class with 1 optimal build and 1 optimal "right way" to play that build. So if you want to be "the best tank in the game" there's really no room for argument. There is simply "the best" and sub-par.

So why does WoW have 15 million subscribers and DDO is on it's death bed? Because SSG is fucking kistarded, that's why.
