Agreed.  I don't consider dupes a breach of copyright either, especially considering it's done with their system.  It's like saying Leonardo breaches his own copyright if he painted a second Mona Lisa exactly the same.

Ultimately the duping and dupe store are all glaring breaches of the ToS.  But I'm in favour of them because SSG won't fix their shit.

No, KNN is short for KingNigNog, not Kistilan. Kistilan was a different kind of stupid. The Vault seems to be a lightning rod for crazy. Maybe its because Strake is such a great moderator?

Its an interesting concept of the sort of crime that didn't exist before the 21st century. Doubtless some sci-fi writer has already tackled it, but i suspect that the cons outweigh the pros, and in any case SSG is nt the company that will be bringing this to the legal world.

It definitely does raise some serious questions, but I suspect the answers have already been provided and aren't likely to change. Still, if the rumored ban-wave proves to pan out, its not likely SSG will be around to answer that many more questions this time next year.

It's actually not like that at all. Leo was commissioned to paint someone. He painted them, and was paid for the service.

This game was created expressly to reimburse the investment of and to profit from; the producers funded staff, funded the licensing of copyrighted content, funded programming the game and funded hardware and hosting. Members who duped shit that was meant to be paid for isn't a breach of copyright at all, it's just stealing.

If you're in favor of stealing since the system is broken, you'd be looking for an analogy more like Robin Hood. You're welcome.

Maybe not. But actual (and possibly physical) ownership could also be a factor to consider.

lol. ok ok.  Some random artist who hasn't been commissioned to create a work of art that recreates the work of art as a near-to/almost the fucking same/exact in every way, duplicate.

As someone who has never downloaded a movie or software or anything that can be purchased legitimately I'm usually not a fan of theft.  But SSG can blow their fucking no-fix mentality out their arse.
