You will help us tell compelling tales and bring delight and joy to players who join us as we continue to bring Middle-earth to life.The Senior Game Producer manages the development and operation of our long-standing Lord of the Rings Online multiplayer game. With help and input from our experienced team of developers, you will be managing scope, maintaining schedules, and working to initiate new systems to keep the game fresh and exciting. You will work closely with the various internal teams and the studio head to maintain the game's high standards and help move us towards the future. This includes the leadership, game developers, customer service and operations. They need somebody to deal with the Spaggheti Code containedc in LoTRO. There's also that interesting bit of information : Postgres so there's some Posgres SQL involved... ( in LoTRO )

Having on the job posting sets off all kinds of warning bells in my head. I'd be interested if anyone else with more dev experience than me reads this as a huge warning sign to run away from the job posting. So, who wants to take a job for low pay and a very uncertain future? Answer: nobody with the expertise to do the job correctly. The irony of course is that any random player with a fairly basic capacity of coding and a very deep knowledge of game mechanics could probably figure most of it out. Remember: people reverse-engineer MMOs all the time.
