So with all the reaper point talk and such, and aside from maxing out favor, what do you do on a maxed out character? I still have quite a few reaper points to get but in between groups, I was looking for some ideas on some old elusive tech or items to get.  I was planning on doing some more shroud and other obvious stuff.  But what’s out there for old clickies or situational items that are handy to have missed getting during my long hiatus 06-20

Good hope is a nice to have clickie if you have an epic mask of comedy laying around, it's beaten by greater heroism but you still get a +2 damage and you get a 3 charges per rest.

A Jack Jibber blade is pretty much a MUST HAVE item on every toon. https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Cursed_Blade_of_Jack_Jibbers

The obvious pale lavender stone and a magestar
https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Magestar

Clickies for deathward, shield, displacement. Scrolls to raise party members and heal scrolls too. You don't heal with scrolls but they are useful to completely remove ability damage. If you play on reaper, even on R1, the lesser restoration pots will only cure 1 ability point per pot. Invisibility too is a nice to have even if I haven't had a reason to use it in the last years but you never know. Other clickies/pots depending on your class/resources

I'm really fond of fire shield on both versions as you can cut in half damage from fire and cold. In theory, pots of protection from evil should be good but I've noticed that in recent content most things can simply bypass it (immunity to mental compulsions my fucking ass), don't ask me what monster though, I simply remember that I had the buff on and still got CCed when I shouldn't have been. Can't think of anything else right now, I'm sure someone else will post more stuff

Oh yeah, a towel. Never leave house without a towel.

Where do I get dark discorporation? And do you mean forcefield pots or is there a clicky for that?

I have the jibbers, magestar, and the ion stone though I do t remember if I have to do some other stuff to finish it.  I use a lot of scrolls, but I hate using them because when I do I loose 2 action boosts if I use it at the beginning of a quest due to the prowess set being on my main hand.  I have the wpm ward necklace clicky.

Did you have a protection from evil potion or an item with that ability (always on instead of clicky) . Because items with it that aren’t clickies don’t actually give the protection from compulsion.

I use potions. I have stacks of protection from evil and invisibility potions since I never sell them (because they can only be looted). They are way better compared to scrolls since you don't even need to switch weapons and do the casting animation  Smiley

1) Echo of the Tome of Strahd (Orb) - x3 Dark Discorporation (15 seconds). A must have for melee toons.

2) Storm in a Bottle (Trinket) - x10 Stormrage - Featherfall + Deflect Arrows (12 seconds). Not a must have, but nice to have.

3) LGS Active augment - x1 Dark Discorporation (15 seconds) -> 4 T3 + 4 T2 recipes. Make more if you're swimming in larges.

4) LGS Active augment - x1 Radiant Forcefield (22 seconds) -> 12 T3 + 3 T2 recipes. Absolutely, insanely, retadedly expensive. Gay devs nerfed Toven cookies unfortunately.

5) LGS Active augment - x1 Stormrage -> Trinket is better, don't waste mats on this.

At the cost of being called a noob and worse names (and that is a given on The Vault), why do you value dark discorporation so much?

The effect
Quote:
You turn into a swarm of batlike shadows. In this form, you gain Invisibility, 25% Incorporeality, and damage from all sources (except for Untyped/Bane damage) is reduced by 50%. Attacking enemies or interacting with objects will revert you to normal form

I mean, they are wonderful things to have for those 20 seconds but you can do pretty much nothing except moving around, right? Can you at least scroll stuff or use pots without breaking the effect?

It'll make sense when you're running R10s and have to initiate big room fights with mobs spread all over the place.

Also, survive tough raid bosses if you accidentally pull aggro.

I'm pretty sure that you can but PfE pots at one vendor or another.

It seems like the important part of PfE works in pre-MotU content and doesn't work in content since then. There might be some exceptions.
