I haven't bought Saltmarsh yet and have been putting it off, but some of the Legendary versions of Epic gear look pretty nice. So before I make the cardinal sin and give SSG more money, what is the drop rate on Star Fragments like? As in can I expect to farm up 5 of them in an afternoon or are they more like "haha, fuck you player" drop rates?

Star Frags are fine, 5-10 from a full saga run (inc the Saga reward).

Nebula Frag for Perfected items is the problem. Luckily the current perfected items are sucky.

So I broke down and bought saltmarsh last night. It disappoints in a myriad of ways but I am happy to say the star fragment drop rate is not one of them. Couple hours of gameplay gave me enough to lgendarify 2 items. And so far none of the quests objectively suck. I was also really happy when one quest said "protect these people" but said people were actually immune to damage. That's an escort mission done right.

I still hate the wilderness area but at least you can largely point your horse in a direction and then go have a pee.

Saltmarsh and Feywild are not on the blue light special you mention

I did apply the free quest code and bought Ravenloft on all my alt accounts. I personally don't think RL gear is that bad compared to say running around naked.

To that end, what's "fun" for me is building and gearing alts, even if that gear is sub-optimal in every way. With RL on 6 chest-pullers, I can have what passes for "fun" more easily.

If you wanna gear naked mulers to pike raids, do w/e.

Thread is about endgame gear, specifically perfected legendary versions of saltmarsh.

As far as I care the take about the current legendary gear being trash is on the money.

If what you are on about is farming saltmarsh legendaries for mulers because you think it's easy to get, this thread is a waste of memory space on a dying forum server of a dying game.
