Supposedly fixes unequip and requip of minor artifact/sent weapon. I am thinking they might have fixed stacking of filigrees with this "fix". No lamania for it so cant pre-test.

I wonder which of the drooling imbeciles they have working for them thought that allowing reaper bonuses for gear to be purchased at the 2nd reaper vender would be a good idea.

I can't tell you how many people I've watched rage-quite over the clearly broken/bugged item drop rates, and searching for that one item with a reaper enhancement is probably the biggest offender.

If you look at the recent changes - legendary crafted gear and the new "perfected" minor artifacts it seems crafting/upgrading is going to be the way of the future. To that end you need the ability to add reaper enhancements.

So my main who regularly farms on R1 has only managed to get about 22 reaper points, which is barely potty-trained in reaper terms. I don't care because fuck reaper(I only run R1 because its about the same difficult as elite but has slightly better drop rates).

If they introduce something that's gated by RXP it doesn't matter how much money I want to spend -unless I'm willing to stick my dick in the reaper pencil sharpener there's no money to be gained from me.


Would be an absolutely fabulous platinum-sink, though.

They cost 1M + having 75 reaper points or something like that. That doesn't function as a plat sink as its a 1-time fee and the percentage of the population with 75 reaper points is significantly less than 100%. I have 22, and am not expecting to hit 23 any time soon, and I doubt a significant percentage of the population has 75+ points on more than 1 character.

Plat-only for reaper enhancements on items would serve as a highly valuable plat sink. We each have 14 equip slots, swap items, multiple characters, etc. Add in it would make an easier way to get players into Reaper.

But make it cost threads? Fuck that. Instantly the "cost" becomes entirely threads because threads are 100 times harder to get than platiinum. It ever item cost 20 mil plat and nothing else, everyone would be scrambling to get as much as they could. Even if it was 2 mil + threads it would invalidate the use of plat because you can easily make that much hawking vender trash in the time it takes to get any appreciable quantity of threads.

Right now the plat economy is essentially non-existent, and the shard economy is only available to the elite few. We need *something* in the game to make the plat economy relevant. Its important to new-player retention and over-all game-health.

Your point should be: I sure hope they let me purchase reaper bonuses for more than just plat. Otherwise, you’re gonna be a slave to that auction house, and there are plenty of people who are better at it.

If the game had a functional plat economy you wouldn't need to be a "slave to the auction house", you just have to pay the slightest bit of attention to supply and demand.

I'll admit DDO's economy has a lot more problems beyond the massive glut of plat. Lack of any sort of tradeable commodities for starters. But adding an actual plat-sink that works would be the first step.
