Its a collector's item. Big box games are worth bit money. I wouldn't ever pay $100 for a copy of DDO but other games are worth it.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

I wonder how many are sold to people who think it still work?
Like if Aunt Sherry is buying a present for her niece who plays PnP DnD and runs across this.

I don't think naming names would be a good thing for me to do, but I'd pretty much add anyone who's a know-it-all dick on the list. Even if they are sometimes intelligent with their opinions, the way they state them in long, "i'm a lawyer at trial"-type posts makes me want to punch them in the face. They act like whiney babies with god complexes and then freak out if someone so much as breathes criticism in their direction.

I doubt any. Unless Aunt Sherry has way more money than brains. Its $94 US, unless Aunt Sherry has no concept of money she's probably going to search around for a better price and find out the game is actually free.

Seems a Non European version, so there's good chances it still work more or less... though the month free VIP might not work.

The DNS names haven't changed ( even if hte IP have changed numerous times ), the game has changed a lot, but the update process hasn't so once installed I guess the update will kick in and spend hours downloading the whole game from the update servers.

I still have it too. But that one is definitely not working anymore since it pointed towards Codemasters Server... that have been dead for longer than DDO has existed.
