Guess they got more draconian about it lately. I did a reply to Lynabel and Lynabel blocked me in response. The circlejerk just shamed me for pinging them.

I am blocked by some SSG staff, too. I don't care. I get along with the Discord staff pretty well. But I lurk most of the time and watch the idiots from the sidelines. More involvement would result in suicide of brain cells.
I get more information there than here so it is not a bad place.
There are a lot of ass kissers but it is possible to voice your opinion and even rant, if you keep your swearing in line. Result: you will be blocked from SSG but not necessarily banned from the discord.

The irony in this is that Steelstar has directly replied to me and engaged with me over discord when it comes to feedback. Couldn't get him to do that when I was on the Player's Council unless I 100% agreed with him on a subject.

I think it depends on who you are - like all echo chambers, there's an existing clique.
If one is outside that clique then posting or asking anything that isn't fluffing SSG is
piled on, particularly by the blue names.  I've seen several people pounced on for
having the temerity to ask about bugs in the bugs channel.  Like, how dare they?

The real problem I have is that certain  developers at SSG are so desperate for
validation that they pay way too much attention to this small group of people - lots of
whom are also desperate for attention and validation.  It's pretty toxic IMHO.

A casual observer may also find what I'm writing somewhat ironic - aren't I doing the
same thing just in a different forum? Maybe, but the vault is still the only place one
can say these things.

Lol I was player council for a minute.
Fuck that noise.
They pick the worse of the worse to join the council. Their only purpose is to literally suck SSG's cock and smooth things over with a nonexistent player base when they do stupid shit like nerf shiradi into oblivion.

I doubt that Discord serves any other purpose.
The people working at SSG need to be fucking fired. Period.
Not re-hired by changing company name and/or kept on because they are incompetent but familiar with the code base ffs...
