The orb is good I think. I was planning on farming it for an ice Druid before the nerf. I think it’s like 5 crit and 19 insightful over anything else. Is 27 lore even a thing in any other element?

Aside from that, looks like the old loot is returning. Nothing on the website about the old loot being updated. Go figure.

I dislike this event enough that I would prefer to just buy shards and get the augments off the AH. Cost is griiiindy. Not that I will, unless perhaps I start getting glancing blows on a 2.

Meh, they ddnt bother updating the loot to be more useful. Pretty much all the loot screams "dont bother using this unless you are a newbie with no expansions".

The cove challenge is still too long and too hard. It is surprisingly hard to get 4 or 5 stars with the challenge due to needing to manage kobolds, keep them alive and be able to path to the best crystal spots in the minimum amount of time. If you take a path with few crystals, it is very time consuming to change it because the kobolds are slow and will keep pausing to do their dance animation.

Once everyone finishes farming enough crystals for the new augments, you can bet people will stop caring about the event as usual.

I might be wrong but the ml 1 adamantine bypass isnt as useful as it looks. You can get ml 12 adamantine bypass with tokens of the twelve which are far easier to farm for, and theres not much adamantine DR in quests below level 10.

I took a look in-game last night and that Tidal augment is laughable. ML1 tidal burst effect with no scaling... seriously, wtf? Do the math: a ML1 1d6 augment comes out ahead until your crit profile is >15-20x2. A ML4 2d6 augment is superior to the Tidal Burst augment even if your profile is 15-20 x4. There is absolutely ZERO reason to ever use that augment; it's a newbie trap, and you're better off spending 200 remnants in the Hall of Heroes for a 2d6 flaming augment.

Adamantine is, as others mentioned, kind of pointless. DR really isn't an issue in the entire heroic game anymore. Certainly not worth giving up on a valuable augment slot.

Festive Str is only useful if you care about endgame.

Meh, I actually enjoy the CC challenge itself, but I doubt I'll spend any time in the event at all this year.
