I recall getting a reply from Lynabel to feedback I posted somewhere (I think it was reddit post my mobo ban) and Lynabel ignored the actual feedback to inform me that he was ignoring me due to my previous beef with Steelstar.

My guess is the dev team as a whole has a massive 'Us vs them' subculture that gets worse with each update; as more and more critical feedback turns into people getting progressively less polite with them.

You can genuinely look at Lynabel's posts from the time he still played the game, to the time he started interning, to the time he was fully hired and see each level of how his responses to the community shifted.

Ironically, on the flipside of that I find that now a days Steelstar is the one that responds to genuinely decent feedback from players/or at least engages with players on Discord anymore. Lynabel flounced from actively using the discord because people were being 'mean'. Not going to say everyone was being cordial, but there's certainly some thin-skin there.

It's wild AF to think the intern I was happy to see on the team making changes and the narcissist that felt like my nemesis have changed places on my 'excitement to read a post/reply' from.

This is a weird/retarded tendancy of Lynn. In a thread on the mobos a while back people were discussing how flagging mechanics were toxic to grouping. For once there was actually a real consensus going on, most of the posters agreed that, yeah, DDO needs to drop 95% of the flagging requirements and let players do quests in any order. So, ok, conversation going great.

Then Lynn shits all over everything by coming in to excitedly tell us how grouping will be fixed forever by some new bullshit added to the LFM panel. Completely ignores the entire discussion, just "hey, this garbage I added to the LFM panel WILL FIX EVERYTHING, YOU GUYS!" - without addressing the actual problem that stops people from grouping.
